Exploring Kyoto's Red Gates Alone At Night | Calming Yet Thrilling...
10.03.24
Get ready for an episode you DO NOT want to miss...
After temple/shrine hopping around Kyoto for my first day out exploring the city, the sun was setting when I was going to hit one place I didn't get to visit yet - The Fushimi Inari Taisha, otherwise more commonly known as the Red Gates of Kyoto.
Thinking that there'd be no point going then, since I wouldn't be able to see the day time views, I decided that I wanted to visit it at night as there'd be less people and I can experience the creepy side of the place. So I quickly head home, rested, ate some dinner, then began my journey...

10.03.24 This is what you can see in half a day in Kyoto - short answer, a lot... Kyoto's main temple and shrine area is all located together almost and all you need to do is just walk around to hit the majority of them. Which is what I did! In this video, watch my first day exploring Kyoto to the fullest. Going to many of the most popular temples and shrines in the area such as the Kiyomizu-De...

9.03.24 Kyoto, one of the best cities I had been to on my one and a half month journey across all of Japan, and I'm here to show you why... During my stay in Japan, I had the privilege of staying in both Osaka and Kyoto, 6 nights 5 ish days in both of them. While Osaka had the better night life and is probably the better choice to stay in if you're on a strict schedule, Kyoto I felt, was the be...

9.03.24 March 9th, 2024. The day I was going to leave Tokyo for Kyoto... That plan got shifted into later in the day, because for a large part of this day, I finally met up with my friend for a catch up, and we walked and talked around Asakusa. This friend was the same friend who you may have seen in my South East Asia vlogs, my first vlogs on this channel. Check out those videos if you haven't...

Before that, I was going to be catching up with my friend in Tokyo as we had planned to meet up but he just didn't have the time. That's in the next video... In this video, enjoy me exploring around the streets of Tokyo, mainly Asakusa a...

7.03.24 This day happened very unexpectedly, but for the better, which is one of the good things about travelling... I knew I wanted to go to Teamlabs, an immersive museum here in Tokyo. There were two. Unfortunately I only had time for one. Didn't mind that whatsoever because where this Teamlabs was situated, I found one of the best places in Tokyo! Odaiba. A place that gave off New York vibes...

6.03.24 Get ready for an electric day, where I visit and explore Akihabara in Tokyo for the very first time, and embrace my inner weeb. Such a fun location, one of the places in Tokyo with the best vibes I reckon. Before that though, we go visit The Imperial Palace and go on a guided tour there and that was pretty interesting and fun also, but the weather was not the greatest... I also have McD...

5.03.24 So after a pretty hectic day the previous day, exploring around the Tokyo Tower and moving to the new place on the other side of the city, I decided to take it easy this day. I had a nice new spacious apartment and wanted to make use of a kitchen for the very first time while travelling in Japan! It felt great being able to eat some breakfast food finally, something I hadn't had in a lo...

4.03.24 The day has arrived... I had a lot of fun south-west of the city being situated in Roppongi, but it was time to move to the other side of Tokyo to experience Asakusa. A situation I found myself in when I decided to take the five days I originally planned in Shizuoka and add it to my Tokyo stay. Despite not spending a night or two in Shizuoka which looked like a really nice city, I felt ...

4.03.24 The Tokyo Tower. Inspired by The Eiffel Tower. Finished in 1958. It was the tallest freestanding tower in the world when it was built, and remained the tallest structure in Japan until being surpassed by the Skytree in 2010. Shibuya Sky: The Best Views in Tokyo?

3.03.24 This is the Shibuya Sky experience. A place you can find some of the best views in Tokyo. But are they the best though? I have a lot of friends, but I would never travel anywhere with them. I love traveling alone because I do things on the fly, never planned anything in advanced. Look like you’re having a great fun.

Yea, this video isn't my cup of tea. Liked your other ones a lot. This one is just off kilter to your normal videos.
@vhalmrast That’s fine, i’m sure there’ll be many more in the weeks to come that will interest you! ❤️ this one was just a one off, gives a glimpse of how slow paced it would be on a livestream, and is for the OG viewers (if i had any) 😃
come back to Sapporo I'll hang out with you, I'm 32M Chinese American~
@@helloimkev1n haha we’ll see! Not sure when I’ll be back tho 😅
Thank for sharing these VLOGS in Japan, gives us good ideas on what to visit when we go. I'm saving your videos in my travel section playlist (at least the ones of places i want to visit). LOL! I'm sorry you were feeling lonely, but your experience makes up for it especially since you are documenting all this. But let me just say, your friend kinda SUX royally! I'm thinking he's not a great friend, or at least a disappointing one. Either way, you will look back on this amazing adventure you are having and will feel good about it. I hope you do more of these vlogs when you visit other countries. Looking forward to them. Regards from NorCal (northern California) 😆😉👋
@@maryanna5832 Thanks! Your words mean a lot to me ❤️ I’m glad I can provide you with this content, nice to hear I can reach people in other places of the world! Yeah, I’ve learnt the hard way, real friends are very hard to come by nowadays 😔 I too will be happy to do this again in other countries the next time I travel, love documenting it not only for me but to help others too like you said 😃
My last 3 overseas holidays have all been to Japan. Enjoy it friend or no friend. Convenient friendship aren’t real friendship anyway. Make the most of everyday. U make those days😊

That place sucks! That asshole just wants Japanese customers, seems his brother made that bar, now its just a garbage hole! With a poor attitude and bad taste kebab, don't go there never!

The AmiAmi store relocated to a much bigger "AmiAmi Figure Tower" store a few months ago. It's like 8 floors of figures so you should check it out - it's near the station!

@@student329 Thankyou! Glad you’re still here ❤️
I hate how theyre shutting this amazing thing down T_T LIKE WHY?
from what I have heard is the lease for the area is up for the base and the local government have other plans for the area. So there was nothing Bandai could do to stay and the cost to maintain the RX78 was too high as time goes on.

Thank you for the video. I didn’t know about that school and I will visit there. Fortunately, those kids survived. Some kids in other schools weren’t as fortunate. Tragic and sad. I’m older and remember that day. We had tsunami warnings in Hawaii too although the waves that reached here were tiny.
@@docvern7 No worries! 👍 yeah tragic day 😔 thanks for sharing!
Enjoy your vlogs! Just catching up and you may have mentioned in later videos but if you need 100 yen coins for laundry, the front desk can give you change. I used to carry coins but felt it was cumbersome to use. I use mobile Suica or Pasmo on my iPhone which can be used at most convenience stores, some restaurants and some vending machines. No need to mess with coins. You can add it to Apple wallet using the transit card function and can recharge it as needed to a max of 20,000 yen using Mastercard (visa and Amex doesn’t work for me). Just make sure the card you use doesn’t charge foreign transaction fees as your card will be charged in Japanese yen. If you can’t use a card, I believe convenience stores can recharge your mobile IC using cash.
@@docvern7 ahh damn really? Never knew that 😅 Great advice! Thanks for watching! ❤️

Do you think this is a good time to go? Looks like you are having fun, but with your newfound experience do you think it would be better to go during any other season?
@@zackwaffen9210 Yes, well any time’s a great time to go IMO, depends what you want to see and do since certain events happen different times of year. I think the best time to go might be like April-May during the cherry blossom season when it’s not too cold or hot. But during that time, undoubtedly there’d be the most people there haha
If you didn't try to shove the biggest bite possible in your mouth. It wouldn't be so messy.
