A work of art. World-class. To my knowledge only Grand Seiko succeeds in producing such a smooth-moving seconds hand. The company has surpassed itself by offering us a power reserve of five days. A nearly flawless watch. Does it have lume? Even assuming it doesn't, it's a masterpiece. The bonus strap is a fine gesture. The watch blows Rolex out of the water.

Crown use is awkward like you say, but okay, just gotta be careful not to crossthread it or case rub maybe another problem with winding.

Yup,....the quiet bezel noise was slightly off putting for me too at first! I thought it was indicative of inferior craftsmanship and engineering but, being a Seiko fanboy I have several Seikos and the bezel on this and the 051,...they're just "buttery!" Takes a bit to get used to it but once you do, it's like trying to go back to ham and eggs after you've had warm brioche and room temperature soft "French" brie cheese with champagne! Seiko really has to do MUCH better with the clasps at that price point though!

If you have 7.5 inch wrist the rubber b strap is way too short. The last keeper will slip out, trust me on this from experience, you will get fed up and go back to bracelet which imho looks better

Hey, beautiful watch, i just bought the SSC911P1. I was just wondering, is there a specific reason for why you’ve set 7 links on one side of the watch and 5 links on the other side? Wouldn’t 6 on both sides be better? My wrist is 19cm / 7.5 inch and i’ve set 7 on both sides of the watch. Does it make any difference by changing the link ratio to make the watch fit better? I’m curious and i don’t know if I’m doing it wrong, since this is my “first” proper watch, i’ve always used Apple watch before with easy silicone strap.
