Excellent aikido
Wonderful to see this. I trained for some time many years ago with Kanetsuka Sensei. This had a deep impact. Thank you with deep respect and fond memories🙏

This is the swift power of Aikido
I dream about studying aikido. I wish they could use a boxer, and a wrestler for a nage. I think it would change alot of aikido hater, if they nage attacks were more challenging!!
We actually expect to fight wrestlers and boxers in the street so don't want them to know our defenses. Anybody is free to train with anybody for variety but hating aikido is okay. I just worry about people who are trying to learn aikido being poisoned away from it so defend aikido without trying to convert haters.
I would really appreciate to find a video where an aikidoka uses aikido while fighting against a skilled opponent. I like aikido, but I'm a little tired of finding only demo. Wear protective gears and go against boxe, muay thai, or even other traditional martial arts. If you don't have battle sense, how can you expect to be able to do something in real situations? Remember that O sensei's aikido worked because of his vast amount of experience, not just because he trained in a dojo.
I have been saying this for years Carlo...But you adapt to each situation is the usual reply. How you train is how you fight. Benny the Jet said that. How can you adapt if you have not trained for adaptation.
@@anthonybrogan390 Exactly. How can you adapt to something you can't even see because you lack reflexes? How can you adapt to a situation if you cannot deal with the stress caused by it? It's a vicious cycle: if you are not prepared you'll get hit and when you'll happen to feel pain you won't be able to think straight and use your techniques, then you'll be hit again and it'll be worse.
Right on, man!!
早っ!
None better - than O'Sensei himself.
Only works in the dojo techniques are dangerous.
And now again with gloves and intention for actual hits...
I agree it may not work in a competition based martial art can you consider that this video dispells some of the complaints about Aikido and trying to grab a wrist. After the deflection of the front kick the man goes for the outside wrist lock by starting down the arm until the wrist is found. He isn't focused on grabbing the wrist from the air. Sensible self defense IMHO
@@rogershaffer8909 I have yet to see somebody get a wrist lock from a quick jab to the face or a good one two combination
Не чево себе Вот это да Он всех пьяных раскидает на пивнухе
What a load of bullshit.
Greay
Arnold Stollar I heard american actor Steven Seagal is also an Aikido master.
I don't care for throwing an assailant like a rag doll; I'd much rather debilitate them with strikes.
As usual there's people who said ' won't work in real fight '. The culprit is ' what if the attacker do this & that '. The answer is, there's hundreds of techniques, choose the right counter. These are only a few examples . . .
You know it's BULLSHIDO!
hundreds of techniques you can not remember when some one is trying to do you serious harm. When attacked in real life you are going to take and adrenalin dump. your fine motor skills will diminish rapidly along with all those ten thousand techniques you learned in the DOJO. I am not saying that to be an asshole it is just a fact. Best way to train any system is put on safety gear have your opponent come at you with random crazy shit have him yell and cuss you out. because a bad guy on the street is not going to be polite. fight on a stairwell train in the dark. Train in different clothes practice in a door way. Be as creative as you can because. it is not going to happen on a nice flat wooden floor it could be a dance floor that is slippery, with chairs and tables and other people to trip over. Stay safe it's a jungle out there.
Really good
蹴りの受けは極真と変わらない。決して悪くは無いけど、返し技が力に頼っているように見える。
What he said.
BS
Sure , it all looks great in a demo with a compliant partner. I dare you to step in the ring with a real Muay Thai fighter .
@ekim andersom I agree with you
Nice demo
yeah sure
Muito BOM!!!!
bravo!!! go on it's perfect
Muito bom!!!
These people should apply the technique just like Steven seagal does ..his opponents are always rough and speed and he applys aidkido effectively..OK we understand its a demo BT the picture its drawing to us viewers is wrong compared to how we understand real street incidences
Anton Geesink, a great name in Judo and an inspiration during my early years of study 👍
I trained taekwondo in that dojo but it sucks that antons son sold the dojo because he is not a judo fan.
The principle of Aikido lie within Kenjutsu. Much like the drowing of sword the first kick was regarded as first upper kata that goes from down to up. As such the Aikidoka manevours around the kick and block is where it already used it energy in that you did not only surprised your opponnent but also brought him out of balance.
I wonder if very strong kickers wouldn’t break someone’s fingers, hands and or wrists if they reached out for an extremely aggressive kick in the manner demonstrated?
You aren't supposed to hard block anything in Aikido. It's more like a deflection. You let the energy keep going. If they hard block then yeah the energy will be absorbed and could cause injury.
Should block with your arm cross. I'm gone watch it 1 more time after this. Edit: EzE Eze You have good eyes.
You never go directly for wrist or foot/shin, you target elbow or knee rather, as the are much easier to intercept.
Useless soundtrack...
Maybe he'll try Mirko Cro Cop's kick.
Minoru Kanetsuka RIP Sensei.
Aikido detractors are off balance when they attack!
when ever I watch an Aikido demo the opponents attack as if they expect to get thrown and they usually seem off balance to begin with. I would love to see a demo against some one who is obviously highly skilled at kicking and punching. Otherwise you get a false sense security. I have trained in many different martial arts including Aikido. Admittedly my Aikido was only two years. After some thinking about it I have realized that most martial arts are designed for fighting people who train in that martial art. Aikido for example is most effect against Aikido, Wing Chun is most effective against Wing Chun and so on. For a lot of Martial artists the closest they get to actual street application is "Defense against the street fighter hook punch" where the Student steps in with a big looping hook punch and stands there motionless with no follow up strikes while the other student does this, and this and this. And wins the day. Sad to say it doesn't work that way in real life, punches are like bananas they often come in bunches. Here is a little experiment put on good protective head gear and have another student throw multiple hook punches to the head and see how well you do. if you don't do very well at defending than it's time to rethink your Training...Stay safe it's a jungle out there.
Seems good, doesnt work
nice choreography, what about to prove it in cage, mma cage? not sure how cooperatively they move there
Nobody with any punching and kicking skills would throw techniques like those.
Yes...becouse everybody wants to punch straight to the chest:)))) Typical aikido bullshit.
Nice
A very nice demonstration, But... The attacker punches in the air after the defender already moved to the side. It will not happen in a real fight. Second: the attacker starts punching while 1 mile away. This, too - will not happen in a real fight. Just saying...
Yeah, because most of the time you will have to fight with experts in martial arts. Like you, you always fight against mysterious ninjas, secret services and MMA fighters. Please bitch. You know nothing about intuition, after years or decades of martial arts don't you think a black belt is able to ''guess'' what the enemy will do? It's called intuition, used by smart people.
Adramalech nope. Don’t work that way. You can’t read minds to be quick enough to defend a real attack this way. Moreover, it’s easy to “intuit” how Uke will attack when he’s told how to punch, and is not committed to the actual goal. Let me do the exact same technique, you do the exact same defense, and we’ll see how well you can “intuit” my attack. Afterall, you must be a smart guy, so why not? The only difference is that I’ll actually try.
@@adramalech3385 I have trained in Shotokan Karate, Western boxing, Tsun Jo wing chun gung fu, atemi Jiujitsu. and kick boxing. I have seen black belts get there asses kicked on the street. there is no guess work when you come up against an unpredictable opponent. now you can say F* you Bitch or what ever...We are not internet warriors here, I say these words with the best of intentions because I have a friend who after getting a black belt in Kenpo got beaten up, He was so depressed he wanted to give up training. SO I started training with him and we started rethinking and re-evaluating. The best and most effective way of training no matter what system it is, is with Protective gear... all out, force on force adrenalin stress training, where you have no idea what your opponent is going to do. I have a training partner that I trained with for many years, we would train on a stairwell ,we would train in the dark in the rain bare foot, with heavy boots on sometimes one of us would have one arm tied behind his back we would have sparing sessions where you could only fight on one leg or from a seated position. Sounds crazy but they crazyer you train the better you will be ready for Joe crazy in the bar. One of the first MMA tournaments I watched was between a Ninjutsu Master and some crazy Brawler dude. I watched the Ninjutsu master do his talk and watched a demo of him in action, he looked great....This guy is going to kick some I remember thinking. The fight began the Brawler dude raced across the Octagon. Threw a bunch of wild hay makers which are much more difficult to block when they come in threes and fours, swept the Ninjutsu guy to the mat and hammered him with a couple of elbows. Big John McCarthy stepped in and that was it. I bet the Ninjutsu guy new a lot more techniques than the Brawler Dude and may be oin a point tournament he would have won. But he just was not prepared. just saying.
Great display from these kids!
Good techniques, but that spin kick, I cover my face and body because u don't know if the kick coming high or low
It doesn't matter if you close the gap and reach the lateral of the attacker. That's the whole ideea, to react fast and obliterate the attack from the start. Do not let your attacker to complete a tehnique on you. But of course, if you can't do that, it's ok to cover your head and your ribs (liver) with your ellbows to prevent a K.O. But that's the ''sportive'' part of it. Back in time, just one second could have cost your life (most of the time your attackers were armed with sharp things), hence the more daring and demanding tehniques of the traditional martial arts. That's why they are called ''arts''. Because it takes a lot to make from your martial art a functional art.
A much maligned art thanks to moronic MMA fans but Aikido is absolutely enthralling & effective.
Like the spinning back kick.one sir
