it forces me to put in a steam API and then when I do it tells me my database does not support it I have not been able to get around this at all

Some new to all this that I’m doing a crash course research day. It seemed pretty simple to set that up, but does any of the things that you use to set up a private server cost money or is this something I can do for free if I already have the game and redm downloaded

Where do I put the steam web api key at?

So at 1:31 I only have the "Server Name" box. I don't have the option to fill out IP or server type. It DOES give me a key, but when I input it and hit "Run Recipe" I get the error message: "Database connection failed: connect ECONNREFUSED 127.0.0.1:3306 If you do not have a database installed, you can download and run XAMPP." So, basically, I'm stuck and can't progress past 1:48 in the video. I did try installing XAMPP but it was just error messages all over when I tried to complete setup. Edit: Update: Okay, so anyone that's having the same issue as me, it's because I chose the VORP server. Didn't think there would be a difference, but there is. I was able to load it just fine when I selected the base Default server. Update 2: Now I loaded into RedM and I don't have the "Connect to EXPC on LAN" option. Just a big play button. Literally the last fucking step. Lmao I give up ima fuckin kms Update 3: It's the next day and I decided to give it another go. I found this tutorial on CItadel Servers (if you want to visit the link and see the screenshot they used, go to tinyurl .com /redmf8 ) that has a workaround for the button not being in RedM anymore. It is as follows: 1. Log in to your Game Control Panel. (in this case, the txAdmin panel) 2. Make sure your server is running and copy the Connection Info which consists of an IP and Port. 3. Open the RedM client on your computer. 4. Press F8 and then a console will show up. At the top, click Launch > MP > Paste your Query Info from your Game Panel. PROBLEM IS mine still fucking failed to load. I don't understand. It says my server is online in the txAdmin panel?? I even updated to the latest version on their discord since the terminal was saying it was outdated. IDFK. Gonna keep trying, but if anyone has any info or guidance, it would be much appreciated as I'm ripping my hair out over here.
