Shadow said it himself: “I will beat him on equal terms or not at all.” If he plans on fighting against Sonic, he’d rather be doing it with his standard repertoire of moves, aka, all of Shadow’s techniques that Sonic himself is already familiar with, or the techniques that the both of them share. Because he sees Sonic as a truly worthy rival.

Well, the thing is, Rouge is a professional jewel thief, meaning that she’s done something like that before a whole bunch of times, so she knows exactly what she’s doing in switching out the fake Chaos Emerald for the real one without Sonic, or anyone else, noticing.

Nah man, it must be CGI, 'cuz when I was playing in the lowest graphics the normal cutscenes eere all blurred and in pixels (as the game itself). But this cutscene and some others were in normal quality and there wasn't any lags or freezes when they were playing.

When they go in the portal he clenches his fists and puts them to the side right before clashing with shadow, making them look like the run from adventure 2.

TBF what would be the point of that if you already fight as sonic against shadow. Sure it could be interesting to see it from Shadow's perspective, but seeing as Shadow is "meant" to lose, it would seem a bit pointless, beating Shadow just to lose after.

@@Babsmemeyea, not to mention gameplay wise, they would have to strip away a lot of Shadow’s doom powers including Chaos Control and Chaos Spear. A Sonic Boss battle could potentially be the worse in Shadow Generations due to how stripped back the gameplay needs to be just so it doesn’t interfere Sonic’s progression in the base game.

@@Pokemonmasterz Tbf, modders only replace the model, not the animation like running/idle pose, attack effects, sound effects and gameplay restrictions.

@ it is canon. Sonic wasnt trying to blow up the arc, he blew up the eclipse canon, which caused the arc to go into its emergency mode which caused the crash

Sonic used chaos control using that fake Chaos Emerald to save himself from the capsule he was trapped in that was about to explode in space. If Sonic can do it with a fake emerald, then so does Shadow. This scene is worthless.

@tyhlielsama that I don't know. It was never established that he could transform into Super Sonic with one emerald being fake. Not that it was the point. The point is that even if Sonic got the real emerald, Shadow would do just as fine with the fake one anyway. Remember: the fake emerald is just weaker than the real one. But I would like to take back what I said about this scene being worthless. The part where Shadow stops himself from attacking Sonic via Doom Spears was pretty solid.

@AdonAdaniel if sonic got the real one then shadow won't let that happen when he took the fake one shadow was fine with it bc the fake one can only be used once so it would be useless to shadow
