There were gangs of kids called "cowboys". They would swarm you and pull your wrist watch off and anything else they could. If you chased them down an alley, you were done. They would ambush you and beat you to a pulp. You were also in a combat zone. Your situational awareness had to be on high alert.

That statute of a marine was a terrible eyesore and a tribute to how America ruined that beautiful city and country and people

I quit a choir because it used too many Haas songs that I found to be too difficult to sing or too annoying. He has ruined liturgical music & many lives, too.

Thanks for posting, I didn't go here so I'd never seen inside. When I moved to BG it was a jr high. I did live in the apartments in back from 2005-06 (the building was yellow then.) My apartment was the first door on the first floor on the end facing the old gym.

I still understand this, at the time of Shakespeare the Welsh would speak 'Cymraeg Canol' or 'Middle Welsh'. It would be hard for me to understand middle Welsh, similar to it being hard to understand the English spoken in Shakespeare's plays.

I was in Saigon in June, 1969. I heard the same stories about arms in the windows...also saw the razor barbed wire on the sidewalks...to keep people away from buildings, etc.

Great footage. One of the stories about that statue is, the soldier in front is vietnamese and the one behind is american. The vietnamese say the american was hiding. The americans said, no he isnt hiding, he's pushing the vietnamese soldier to move forward and fight.
