Massive Sago Palm Removal
Hello, thanks for stopping by. I am in the middle of a back yard makeover to include a new deck and a summer kitchen/BBQ area to hang out and cook. The boss said the Sago and the boulder need to go so we can deck the entire area. This thing is huge, it is by far the largest Sago I have seen. Surprisingly, the take down went relatively easy. Using the Warn Evo 10s was a breeze and it handled the palm with no issues. I chose to use my recovery gear as opposed to trying to yank it out with the truck. We all know how that usually goes. Everything went smoothly and you get a chance to practice using your gear. It's a winning situation all around. Thanks for watching, all links below.

ProCase Tactical Admin Pouch Quick Review
Просмотров 3513 года назад
Hello, thanks for stopping by. Today is a quick review of the ProCase Tactical Admin pouch. The pouch does appear to be an Amazon special. Even the in action photos are terribly photoshopped. That being said, It is exactly what I expected, a simple pouch in the length that works for me. The stitching and material do not feel super durable. However, for my needs this should work fine. The pouch ...

Hello, thanks for stopping by. This is a quick and easy unboxing review of the Kubey Carve KB237 in OD green. The knife has performed as expected with no real complaints. My biggest regret is accepting the Sago Palm from my mom when we moved into our new house in 2006. My second biggest regret is letting my wife talk me into having it right along the path to our front door. I told her how they grow so fast and get so unruly, but she wanted it there.

    Bought one of these kits just really for the bag, as I plan to set it up my own way for working outdoors since I don’t want to have a larger setup like my emt bag/pouch I have on my line gear for wildland fire. I feel like you can always do with having a second tourniquet and some form of clotting agent, but other than that I’m probably just swapping out a few small things. Nice to actually see a video on what’s in them from the get go, as the web page wasn’t the best at listing shit.

    Who taught you TQ was a last resort??? If you see massive bleeding and your first thought is “oh fuck! Tourniquet” then slap a tourniquet on. If it is a true exsanguinating bleed, then waisting time with direct pressure could be costing them, when you should be trying to occlude those vessels.

    • @wilcoxtactical3716
      @wilcoxtactical3716 2 года назад

      Many medical schools teach to use a TQ as last resort. There is a chance that a person will lose use of the limb that a TQ was applied to so if you don't need it, it could make a situation much worse. Nobody wants to lose an arm if they don't have to. If you can stop the bleeding with pressure and hemostatic agent that's much better than using a TQ, and losing that limb.

    • @Pugrug.
      @Pugrug. 2 года назад

      He did say that if you’ve seen enough injuries then you can tell when a tq is needed, he also basically said if you see arterial bleeding to use one. There are some pretty stupid people who would apply a tq at the smallest amount of blood. A family friend got a small cut on his arm and used $40 combat gauze for something you could’ve used a gauze pad on. It shouldn’t be a last resort but it shouldn’t be the first option unless you know you need it.

      It's a Recon Medical TQ Gen4. It's pretty similar to the NAR CAT. But some improvements like kevlar stitches, Aircraft Grade Aluminum Windlass and Buckle Core. It's REALLY good. Search for some videos or take a look at the website. I have one. Nothing to regret.
