Why is the violist leaving out double stops at second section?? grrr
During the 35 years I was a classical programmer on the radio, I frequently featured her music (what little was available). She was, to my ears, the finest woman composer of the 20th century.
What a most mysterious, enticing work! Thank you for the upload!
6:23 really sounds like a persian song which is called MORGHE SAHAR "مرغ سحر"❤🔥
These pastiches Pärt wrote are WILD!
Very good music. Technically, the first movement is as fast as Shostakovich's 11th Symphony, and except for the beginning of the second movement which is rather bland, the rest is very imaginative. This music is like a description of the Last Judgment. A rare modern piece of music.
I only know one performance of this symphony, that of Yuri Androsov conducting the Voronezh State Choir and its Philharmonic Orchestra with baritone Igor Gornostaev. It dates from April 29, 2014. Thanks again
Thank you so much!
I am listening first time to this symphony and this is a revelation for me. I see you scheduled several premieres so thanks a lot for your precious job!
Hello, friend! Thank you for Nikolai Chaikin's work, are there any more recordings of his work? I would really like to hear his work "Prelude and fugue for elective accordion in G sharp minor". I would be very happy if you could find it, but I can't find it anywhere, because my father played it in college. Good luck with your creative work!
0:01 I Prelude 1:08 II Allegro 4:29 III Minuet
Woaho ! Can't wait to listen to this masterpiece with score !
I just love how these Elegies sound!
Great!
16:43 ❤
🎉❤🤙👍👏
That third movement is so great
In terms of style, development, orchestration, harmony, etc, I think this is on the same level as Beethoven. On an overview level at least. What this lacks is memorability, some interesting idea, some spark that goes beyond mere good execution. And that memorable something doesn't even have to be some extra complex thing. Look at the 2nd movement of Beethoven's 7th symphony: the literal main idea, the A theme, is a I Π I I rhythmic motif over a basic I-V-V-I harmonic progression, but it also extremely distinct in how it is presented and developed, that it makes an otherwise uninteresting idea extremely intriguing to listen. Granted, that is probably an extreme example of Beethoven managing to discover an idea that is so simple yet elegant, and develop it in such a clear way, that it makes the most out of it. But even then, I didn't think there was anything of note, that stood out to me while listening to Czerny's symphony. It felt extremely safe. It would work great as generic classical orchestral music, but of the four movements, only the scherzo felt distinct to me in any sort of way.
If you read the program, it's the Leningrad Philharmonic Orchestra on February 14, 1966. I'm looking forward to listening to it. THANKS
Thank you
@@quinone_bob Thank to your, dear sir, the symphonies that you allow to discover are extraordinary. You may know, but Arvid Jansons gave the premiere with the Bolshoi choir and orchestra in 1963. Best regards
@@Draster13 Yeah, thank you for your information! Because the only known information of the audio is the conductor is Arvid Jansons, so other informations is speculations. But anyway, thank you for providing another possibility!
Attractive digestive music with impact like this by Don Gillis deserves to be heard by concert goers searching for melodic satisfaction.
He was a much better composer before he discovered commercial minimalism

Beautiful piece. Reminiscent of George Crumb.
Thanks attaching the score is genius it helps so much to understand the music
Very powerful work; packs a big impact in a short time.
Why does this sound artificial? 🤔
I you do not hear that you might be welcome to some profession in the fast food industry or parcel transport but please stay away from music.
thank you for making scorevideo of this super-rare, wild Kilar piece. Hopefully there would be more Kilar scorevideos in the future, this is what I hope!
Where did you find the pdf? I have been trying to find it
This is a very interesting piece. It is quite surprising to hear it combined with the author's name. Chulaki is one of the most traditional authors who was alien to the now-how of that time.
A lot of this is parody. He is parodying Martynov!
Партию фортепиано где можно найти?
Some nice Slavic themes here.
These are Armenian themes
@@jaysir4164 Thank you, I stand corrected.
Something I don't understand..Sometimes, the Teacher is at the left place, and sometimes at the right place. How can we manage to change??
Amazing piece!!
Gorgeous music. Many thanks.
Three months ago I watched the film by Sergei Parajanov "The colour of Pomegranate" and now when I listen this masterpiece I get flashbacks by the film
I think these might be the most compelling fugues I've heard by a non-Baroque composer.
Every single work of this composer that I've listened to is a work I enjoyed! Thank you for the upload!
❤
Great recording right until the glissandi - the music doesn't stop just because there's a gliss! she completely messed up the rhythm there
Interesting recording... sounds nearly like AI generated... are you sure about the performers?
Horrible artificial computing, no orchestra (say nothing of the BBC orchestras) could possibly spoil the score in this incredible manner.
Who is the pianist??
Camille Saint-Saëns
Ganz nach Vorbild des Maestros und Lehrers Ludwig van Beethoven 🎉
Much better imo than the repetitive "Maiden's Prayer". Strangely there exists no portrait I know of this often-criticized composer.
Dank je Giya voor deze prachtige symfonie
Nice music. :)
Quite original. Quite different to my ears and so enjoyable. I mean its distinctly Non- German Non-Italian Non-French Finland Rocks !
