Building costs have gone up since 2020 but just like everywhere. Different builders charge different rates per sq/m, but also offer different options as to what is included. Our build is $1200 US per sq/m and basically covers everything that we wanted.

I also designed my villa rather than pick from cookie cutter gated community designs. Health care is around $80-120 US per person/month and is top notch care. IKEA selection is better in Santo Domingo. Puerto Plata has a bunch of furniture stores. Hidelisa - highly recommend this one. L&R And a few more! There is a store in Sabaneta that I would recommend for loungers etc. ShiptoDR is amazing.

Land prices vary, and also depends which builder you choose. We settled with $1100/sq m all in.
