Okay as much as I love the Owl House as it become, and it is in my top 3 Disney Cartoons, I kind of prefer the pilot to the finished Episode 1. The way Luz ended up in the Boiling Isles, trying to help someone, felt like a better showing of her personality leading to her decision and it established a connection between her and Amity that was not fully antagonistic initially. The humor landed better compared to the finished episode 1 and Lilith made for a more entertaining antagonist compared to Warden Wrath.

So glad I stumbled onto this today. A great opening to a much missed Disney classic. Sure, that opening presentation was a bit campy, but those people watching had no idea what they were about to experience as they climbed into those Omnimovers for the first time. They were some of the first people ever to travel to the future. I’ll never stop missing Horizons.

My husband and our son is pictured in the If You Had Wings, riding into the globe. I loved that ride and went to all the changed attractions. When I took my grandson on the Buzz Lightyear, I was trying to remember where past views were placed. Air conditioned, the tunnels….loved it all. Thank you for a great trip back in time.
