Hill Phoenix Advansor CO2 Booster Rack Down
Doing a follow up on CO2 rack that had its UPS knocked out during a storm. Hadn’t rained in 2 months then of course as luck would have it it happens at night, on Halloween, and while I’m trying to get a CO2 rack back up.

Good to see you posting again. Hope the new gig is copacetic.
It is, I really enjoy the new company and the guys I work with. I just gotta get in the habit of pulling out the camera again when I’m walking up on the call instead of when I’ve already completed it.
Excellent job, amazing ink, good work
Man, you work at nextech. That company sucks.
@@elliotvega8512 to each their own. Any company can suck depending on the area and the people that represent it. I worked for them for around 4 years, no complaints, but did move on some months ago.
Nice mods. Good to hear you're out and doing well. There's a lot of opportunity in the trades right now, keep at it cause there's more to come. Think about putting some money aside for going back to school, it can lead to big money later when you're older and can't work like this.
I work over in 309 Branch I’m a tech. Out here for CMS is there any reason in particular you wanna leave 😭
I hit my 1 year this september
Nextech is an awesome company, I have absolutely nothing but great things to say about them. My reason for leaving is just for personal growth. I want to learn and experience more and become well versed in larger equipment i.e. rack refrigeration including CO2 which at Nextech we have very few rack customers except for a few small ZeroZone EDGE racks, some smaller Hill Phoenix, and some Cold Zone multi-circuited racks. I will miss my family and the culture our Louisiana and Mississippi office had more than anything.
@@nolahvacaye man goodluck out there brotha from the North eastern to you us techs gotta stay safe man
Do you still work at CMS Nextech?
This is actually my last weekend with Nextech, I’m on call til Sunday then I start with the new company Monday.
Lettttsssss Gooooo
Happy trails Kemosabi!
Good vid bro keep em coming
Question bro never worked on big boy stuff like that just got into a light commercial company so since their are 2 circuits did you have to recover the refrigerant on both circuits in order to change out this coil ? And vacuum and charge each circuit individually?
Yep, each circuit must be recovered, filter driers changed, vacuum pulled and recharged. Every now and again on larger systems you’ll run across parallel compressors and then you only have to recover one single charge for a large coil even though there are multiple stages. Also some of the larger Lennox’s are going away with the multiple circuits on a single coil and they’ll send you two individual coils to replace the old single coil.
You still work for CMS? I work for AMS… gotta love the national account work
Yeah, I’ve been with them for over 3 years now. A lot of things are changing with the company but most are for the good. I’d much rather work with national accounts and NTE’s than have to get approval for every little thing that needs to be done.
@@nolahvac yeah I feel ya , NTE increases are my life lol 😂 dollar trees are a tad more hectic then DG’s but gotta love a dollar store overall lol they are our best customer
The powerhead (sometimes called the element) sits on top of the DTC . I have always just exchanged new powerhead onto old valve body , never has failed to restore function of the valve . Get your fingers on the rods as you remove the cap , or they will fly out . Work the rods, make sure they are free . Good luck
Came across your video and it’s funny I work for nextech too but in Dallas
Denton office used to dispatch Louisiana back in the day before we had an office over here. They’re a nice group of folks y’all have out there, they’ve dispatched for us when our office was out of commission during hurricanes. I was out in Houston helping them catch up a few weeks ago.
I have the same unit but its piped in to my racks , can u force a defrost on this controller at anytime or does it have to be at a certain temp , great video
You’re able to force defrost as long as DP2 sensor value is below your DTE (defrost temp end) parameter
I use the little orange and white one it sucks this one is better ... great video man
The Saurmann pumps are alright, anything that isn’t a constant run will work. I like these aspen mini aquas just cause they’re so compact and easy to retrofit. Hussmann has really dropped the ball on the whole engineering part of these Freedom line cases in my opinion, a lot better options of parts to use. They could learn a lot from ZZ. ZeroZones Highlight Merchandiser series is on point.
Dx ok expashion valve caplery sezar bulbe cutting gas plas explaning ineed fixing plas explaning boss..

Be careful bro there will be more
Avoid the void.
Recognize those traps before you take a tool out of the bag and block them off!
Cry about it
The company i work for just got bought out by Nextech.
Are you with Brines?
@@nolahvac yes
Food& Beverage refrigeration and cooking equipment. Hotside will turn you off off fried foods real quick. Bienvenidos a mi mundo.
I should learn hot side for the $ & to cut out the fried food
Restaurant work will turn you off to eating out in general, some are cleaner than others, but as a whole most are pretty disgusting.
@@nolahvac "cognitive dissonance". After 40+ yrs of F&B operations have learned to turn off parts of my brain and not think about some things if I'm dining out with civilians!
Be well amigo.
My dude said octagonal 😂
I actually think it was septagonal
Would you mind if I share a link to this video in my Facebook group HVACR component teardowns? I’ve never seen one of these taken apart, it’s awesome. I’ll give you full credit of course
Go ahead and share away bro. I don’t mind at all.
Dude no way
It is what it is. You just have to play the offense in these situations. Ain’t nothing good ever came without a fight. I just have to tread carefully and do my due diligence.
Keep the content coming bud nice work
