Fixin' Two
США
Добавлен 29 дек 2016
We are two Christian teenage brothers, along with our dad fixin' old cars together. When we’re not wrenching on old cars, we’re working on other mechanical things around our farm. Tractors, go karts, lawnmowers…the family van. If it has a motor…we’ll mess with it.
HOW TO | Recovering a 1965 FORD bench seat
On this episode of Fixin' Two we continue work on our Grandfather's 1965 Ford F350 flat bed. The original bench seat had two layers of vinyl on it. Both layers were beyond repair so we replace it with a new cover from Seatz Manufacturing. But first we tear it down to the frame, repaint it and replace the burlap and foam.

On this episode of Fixin' Two, we're getting rid of the AM only radio in the 1965 Ford F350 and replacing it with an AM/FM/Bluetooth radio from Retrosound! This will be our second Retrosound install. If you haven't seen our install in the 1965 Chevy C10, make sure you check it out. We had to think outside the box on this install. We wanted to keep the old look in the truck and not have "new" sp...

On this episode of Fixin' Two...we dump even more money into this 1956 Ford Fairlane by replacing the stock points system with a HEI system. RUST in the RADIATOR?! Water pump and alternator replacement on the 1965 Ford F350 dually.
Просмотров 2977 месяцев назад
On this episode of Fixin' Two we dive into the cooling system on the '65 F350. We found rusty sludge in the radiator so while flushing the system, we decided to replace the water pump, figuring the internals were rusted out. We also found that the alternator wasn't charging so we replace it as well while we have the brackets and belt off.

On this episode of Fixin' Two we replace the blower motor resister on our family van. We noticed that when we shut the car off the blower motor continued to run. The only temporary fix was to unplug the motor. After doing some Googling on the interwebs we found that the motor resister was the culprit.

THE '56 FAIRLANE RUNS ON HER OWN FUEL SYSTEM!!
I have a 1989 F250 4X4. and the person that had the truck before me must have been pretty heavy. because the drivers side of the seat is severely broken down. I'm not sure if it can be repaired or if it would be better if I replace the seat. I have thinking I might be better off looking for a seat that's in better shape. and getting a new cover to put on it.
Take a look at the springs and the frame. If they look ok and aren’t broken you can probably just replace the foam.
@fixintwo123 I looked under the seat and the foam and is almost down to the floorboard of the truck. and I had to stack two chair cushions on top to keep from sitting in a deep hole. I couldn't tell if the springs are broken or just broke loose from their mountings. I'm going to have to pull the seat out of the truck to know more? thanks.
You’re probably going to need a new frame then.
@@fixintwo123 That's good to know. I can plan on shopping for another seat. thanks again I appreciate it.
Good 👍, I’m from another country, but I like this channel I want to wish you all the best
Great to hear you like the channel. What country are you watching from?
Looks almost fancy now LOL. Difference between youth and age - youth in shorts and bare feet. Dad in jeans and long sleeves. (I'm even older)
lol we started making this video several months ago when it was warmer here in Georgia. Then the holidays hit and we took a break. Then it got cold! But yes, shorts and no shoes is pretty much the everyday wardrobe!
Nice job on the seat! What is your next project?
We’ve been trying to decide. We’ve been working on the engine off camera. We have a leak where header meets the engine that we can do a video on. Or maybe replacing the rusted out metal bed with wood?
@@fixintwo123 replace the rusted out metal bed with wood.
Olá meus amigos boa tarde que bom ter vídeos novos, agora sim o banco ficou nota 1000😅😅😅 parabéns

Cool trucks. Thanks for sharing
Great job guys. Keep up the great work. Remember to keep God first and everything else will work according to His will. Good to see young people serving God and building rods. Merry Christmas from Restored/Turnin Rust
Enjoyed the video. Looking to do a sniper on my 56 Merc. It has a 312 y block. Mummert 4bbl intake
Thanks! Also check out our video on the HEI distributor swap in the Fairlane.
You need to show removal of the seal.
We didn’t show it with the first axle but we did with the 2nd axle. At the 10:00 mark we just used a hammer to pry it out. Probably not the right way but it worked!
Every tool can be used as a hammer or a lever...😎 Good work guys and Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving! I wish my grandkids would help me, but I still love them. Good job, guys. Love the bloopers!
Doing well fellas well done having a good sense of humour helps things along as well,🤣👍👋
Good way to work off that third or fourth plate of food.
Ola meus amigos que bom ver teus vídeos e ficou muito bom a troca de disco agora sim vai frear bom demais 😅😅
It says Bocephus on that VW bus that is the nickname of Hank Williams, Jr.
Ola amigos boa tarde to sentindo falta de novos videos ,como ta a recuperação dos carros 😊😊
I would start off at 12° advanced. Unplug your vacuum at the carb plug the port off, set at 12° advanced.

When this car is done it’ll be a daily driver right?
Maybe not daily but a fun weekend car to take the family in. At some point we may sell it to fund the next project.
Which way do you face the float towards the front or towards the rear?
I’m not sure I understand your question. The carb will only go on one way. With that being said the “hinge” of the float will be in the rear, closest to the firewall. So it will float up toward the front. Google “mikes carburetors.” He has tons of stuff on the Holley 4000 “teapot” carbs.
I’m talking about the sending unit inside the gas tank
lol sorry. Had carbs on the brain. I’m not 100% sure. From what I recall, as seen in the video, we had a hard time lining the holes up for the sending unit to the tank. I’ll see if I can get you an answer.
Great job, fellas! Keep making good memories 🇺🇸
Do you have the contact info for where you bought these? I'll be looking for some for a 1970 F350.
I’ll see what I can dig up.
I found his info but I don’t want to put his phone number out there like that. Email me at emarrero@gosee.net and I’ll send you his info.
I would like to reach out to you guys as well. Id love to pick up 6 rims myself! @@fixintwo123
Good job, boys! Looking forward to seeing what else you have in mind! Love you both! Gr!
Is it Bluetooth capable?
It is! The music being played was coming from the phone. Be sure to check out our second RetroSound install on the 65 F350.
Nice work, guys! Thanks for choosing RetroSound 👊
Thanks! If you haven’t already, check out our video on putting a RetroSound system in our ‘65 c10. We would love to put RetroSound systems in all of the vehicles we do and would love to talk to you more about it! Email us!
I must be in your grandfather's generation too. Not much use for Boom Boom either. LOL
With these old rigs you have to have the boom booms so you can hear/feel the music over all the road noise! lol
That looks so good! I love the upgrades. She is going to be an awesome truck! Lol, keep bringing the bloopers!
VC fica muito divertido com os erros de gravação mas o legal que cada item arrumado no carro fica show agora vocês vão estudar belas músicas 😅😅😅 parabéns

Love to see here up and running. Great job, guys!
What springs did you use?
We added links in the description for the springs after your comment. Mcgaughy’s 5 inch springs in the rear and Western Classics 4 inch drop in the front. We are pretty much sitting on the bump stops but we didn’t have to c-notch the frame.
@@fixintwo123 Rad thank you guys!
