I think I used to have thalassophobia but after beating subnautica I no longer fear the ocean.

Most of the images, here, are more fascinating to me than actually scary. Basking, hammerhead and whale sharks don't really do it for me. Now, if you threw in some giant pacific octupuses or humboldt squids (or maybe a distant colossal squid), then it would be a different story.

Hot Take: Sharks are the least scary part of the ocean. The ocean is at its creepiest when there's nothing but open water. Or at least you think its just open waters.

I had a dream once.. It was midnight and I am walking past this beach which is close to where I live. But something about the beach was odd, the beach had huge ass waves high as mountains but they were not moving.. just static in one place.

Nothing. Neatly nothing can compare to the immense amount of fear the ocean gives me. Just looking at these images makes my heart race. I’m fine splashing near the shore, but I will never go far out into the ocean let alone deep. The only thing that comforts me is knowing that I live in a desert nowhere near it

1:51 thats a basking shark:) theyre gentle giants, very friendly and literally only eat plankton, you have no need to be scared of these at all, and 2:12 thats a whale shark, again, extremely harmless, dont mind humans around them, and you can actually hitch a ride from them by grabbing onto their fin and they wont mind:))

I'm the exact opposite, I love water and the oceans. I love deep-sea diving, I've been trained since I was practically born and it never ceases to amaze me. I've learnt to hold my breath for couple of minutes underwater, so I don't need oxygen for me while diving for couple of minutes, just a decent bathing suit and that's it. I often think, that I was born in a wrong body, I've always known, that I was meant to be a fish😂If reincarnation is real, then I'll be more than happy to be a fish, to be more free than ever. Everytime I go underwater (with the oxygen or not), my earthly problems are suddenly gone and I'm free, sees and oceans are my freedom, that's my definition of it. Water has of course its own rules, I'm fully aware of that and I'm of course trying to be careful. However, nothing on Earth is more beautiful that its oceans and they are my source of energy, something that my soul need very much. The worst thing about it is going back from the water, when you realize you can't be there forever. Oceans are completly another world, I love being part of it😍💗

I LOVED ALL OF THESE IMAGES!!! Cuz I Love Water! I love what it looks like, I love what it sounds like even under Worst Conditions! (Which “yes” can Be Scary! Even Tsunamis are Majestic as long as I am Not in It. (My Mom lived through last on in Japan) That’s where she lives. We have lived through Tornados in the mid west and a typhoon in Japan Myself. I’ve also swam in a lake during a Thunderstorm in Minnesota during the summer Repeatedly. Yes My Dad was furious with Me about It. I know I am Not a fish so there’s a lot I would not Survive if I get too Risk Gay about water. So I do take a few precautions when I do. 😊
