I discovered this song today; it played in my random mix. As a proud Worker this brought a surge of pride. It turns out that today I have had to stand against tyranny. I am facing retaliation for whistle blowing, and today I firmly told my boss that "I will not have you push this on to the worker, I have already contacted BOLI and the DOJ." Joe Hill was by my side today. He made sure that I heard this, because it will inspire me to carry the Scarlet Standard to victory.

Love this song .My dad was a docker on the Gladstone dock and he was a union rep too who represented men in tribunals .Unfortunately for him he lost a hopeless case in which some fellow dockers had been caught stealing and from that moment on he was victimised and alienated by the families of those men .He spent his final 20 odd years on the docks as a loner .This caused our family problems all the way through .It`s not all rose tinted .

Without doubt this track needs recording professionally, The struggle to clear the Shrewsbury Two / 24 must never be forgotten. The liquid kosh given to Dessie was, Is and always will be a National Disgrace. Also the lies fed to Ricky and Dessie were cruel, inhuman and intended to cripple Solidarity. This is a great track Alun and a fitting tribute to both men as My name is Dessie Warren was for the whole Trade Unions which these two men held so dear.

The pickets delivered their applications to the CCRC’s Birmingham headquarters nearly eight years ago, in April 2012.
