Space Engineers - Mobile Base Welding System deployment/Stow test.
This is a test run of deploying and stowing the welding system that will be used for building rovers and flying craft and drones within my mobile base. The fmgreen lights in the background are to indicate Hinge locks engaged on 4 designated hinges. These indicators have the commands of on and off set to happen with the corresponding hinges locks are turned on and off. 2 of the indicators are not set right during stowage, but that is a minor detal to have a single deployment command and a single stowage command. Thanks to a suggestion from a fellow Space Engineer, I was able to get reliable launches of my Decoy Pods and have mounted them on my Decoy drone. All that is left is to make adjustments and tweaks, and it should be ready for deployment along with my Ositos attack missile.

I keep having a problem when I launch my Decoy Pod. the launch sequence is triggered by an action relay on the pod. This relay does the following: 1. Battery to Discharge 2. Thrusters to On 3. Thrusters to Max Override (More Thruster Action mod) 4. Gyros to On (Pre-set to Max Power Override with 0 adjustments) 5. H2 Tank Stockpile to Off 6. Merge Block to Off 7. This is a way I came up with to dock an AI controled drone with a rear facing connector. Since the time of recording the audio, I have managed to ge a similar setup drone to dock with a stationary connector, but it does grind against it when it does. this is a simple and easy setup anyone can us. But what are the advantages of using a piston Vs not using a piston
For me it is to not have the drone slide against the connector while docking.
I love this thing in space engineers
Fixed air leak in on-duty engineer's quarters, changed out windows in Flight Control for better visibility, and will be changing out some of the decorative blocks with the new ones that have been released.
That's good lookin. Good job!
May try to raise the craddle that holds the drop pod so I don't need to have the extra long legs to get the Mini Argo high enough to load the pod.
