Yes, manned helpers, which was cool to see. Not as cool as Crawford Hill, but still pretty cool. I haven't watch the video, but I saw the email. How many trains run over that line because trains near beautiful scenery make it that much better?

I feel like I need to give it another shot, but it sucked compared to what I had thought that it would be.

Thanks Richard. I'll check as I have been sick for the last few days. I just got on RUclips today and man, there is a new cam at the McDonald's in Barstow with the curve. Not sure if you watch any cams, but it has a good east face viewing.

No good you have been ill. Hopefully you get better soon. Thanks for the camera info at the Macca’s (what Mc Donald’s is called here) Just had a quick look and good spot. Have been there a number a times and once stayed at the Ramada just across the other side of the 15. Some good spots east and west of Barstow as well as in town.

Thanks Richard. Sorry that I haven't emailed you, but it's been real busy around here lately (I hit Tehachapi last weekend). I tried to do some raw audio with the drone, so let me know your thoughts on it next weekend please. Are you missing the trains out here?

No worries about the email. All good. The sound from the drone will be interesting. Yes, missing the trains. It’s just not that good here. Nearly all of our heavy haul locomotives are EMD or GE (Wabtec now) internally but have mufflers installed. Boring! Anyway, enjoy.

Thanks Alik. I've wanted to visit the Rathole for years and I almost did this year, but it was going to be too warm. I had seen railcams in Ohio and it looked busy and I've wanted to visit Sand Patch Grade for awhile too, so I thought why not. Then, I stumbled into horseshoe curve. Sandpatch was not that busy, but it was still alright. I enjoyed the Altoona railfanning of the NS though. I didn't know if I would like Ohio much, but I would go back in a heartbeat. It was a nice change of pace and I have more coming.

Thank you very much. It was really eerie to hear the train coming, but you couldn't see it until boom out of nowhere, it appeared. I do have another video that will have trains coming into and out of the Gallitzin Tunnel.
