Добавлен 19 сен 2021
SoundOkapi is a Danish sound artist known for his distinct blend of minimal music, ambient, micro house, noise, and experimental genres.
Synths, augmented by guitar pedals and loopers, are central to his eclectic sound, which also includes his own vocals. Collaborating with other sound artists like Hanne Raffnsøe and Berlin-based trio Pausa a Pausa, SoundOkapi has performed in Danish churches, festivals, and Berlin venues.
Trained originally as a classical organist, he transitioned to experimental electronic music, exploring improvisation and innovative techniques, marking a new chapter in his musical journey.

Feedback with Soma Harvezi Hazze
Просмотров 7316 часов назад
Slowly getting acquainted with this awesome pedal, today I played with the switch set to feedback. I have used my Waraku from Suzuki (see more here: ruclips.net/video/N0HJHhFde2Y/видео.htmlsi=QGTgEp6Kneux_DjJ) and found some sweet spots :) The Tone Stack and Notch Freq dip switches were active. - My wwebsite: soundokapi.dk
First encounter with Harvezi Hazze from Soma

Just got the Harvezi Hazze pedal from Soma. Seems there is an immense array of modulation possibilities in it. In this video you can hear some of them. Of the dip switches only Tone Stack and Tone Mode are active. - My website: soundokapi.dk Soma Terra playlist: ruclips.net/p/PLRf2bSLgdsq-IcUw2EUN4pQ4_guXL2tBe&si=G9GdqdIbZ2-6k70g

While working on a track for my coming album, I twisted the elements a bit and made this beautifully weird sound sculpture in Borderlands Granular. It will not be like this on the album, but you will probably recognize it anyway 😊 - My website: soundokapi.dk

Today I worked with the setup for two concerts in December: Korg Wavestate, Haken Continuumini and the Boss loop station rc-300 (which is why I look down from time to time 😅). See you in Sakskøbing church Dec 11 or 22? - My website: soundokapi.dk
LIVE: Bach in slow motion with SoundOkapi
Просмотров 5223 месяца назад
In this video, my two musical personas meet: Flemming Chr. Hansen, the classically trained organist, and SoundOkapi, the electronic sound artist. The concert took place at Sakskøbing Church on September 15, 2024, and featured carefully selected pieces by J.S. Bach, performed at a slow tempo and accompanied by minimalist electronic soundscapes. Recorded and mixed by TV-M Lolland-Falster.For more...

Music from a Tiny House - full album
Was wondering about the H. Hazze. Thanks for sharing.
This is fun. Like the text info at the bottom of the screen, as well as the sounds. Thanks for sharing. Waiting for mine to arrive, with excited anticipation 🙂 Best wishes for your continued success/fun with music 🎶☮
I like lengthy stuff, nice! 🎉
Jeg er spændt 😊
Awesome instrument!! I'm a guitar/bass-player, but got a hurdy gurdy, handpans, etc. That is definetly a bucket-list item!
👌🏻💪🏻😊
Great! 🔥
Sounds like GTFO alarm music
Is that good or bad? 🤔
@@soundokapi-music Its good, GTFO game has an amazing soundtrack.
🙏🏼🙏🏼
Good job, i subscribe to your channel
random youtube suggestion was a banger :>
🔥
nice!
intensely lush:-)
Wow, beautiful
nice to hear these two awesome pieces of gear together..........(and if you're delving into the Rhythmic firmware, I have an older upload that I suspect you might be interested in) ruclips.net/video/Q-ETf9BGmio/видео.htmlsi=q6QleFj1rI5QDzAt
Thanks 😊 I have seen that one already - nicely spotted!
Very intriguing!👍
Awesome!
Nice soundscapes, exciting potential
Thx 😊 It's a wonderfully crazy instrument and the partnership with Cosmos is very inspiring
Thanks for the photo by line!!
It is a very inspiring photo - Thx for letting me use it
@@soundokapi-music I love having my work used.... enjoy
I love the sound here! Which algorithm is that? The last of the polyphonic ones?
Thx 😊 I am sorry, but I don't recall anymore which algorithm I used for this particular one
Gorgeous Work Maestro, I’m saving up.
Thx 😊 you will enjoy it
The name of this instrument is “Waraku”.
You are absolutely right. Thanks for correcting that. I can´t fix it in the video, but I will do it in title and comments.
Men man kan høre mågernes harmonikaskrig ude fra havet
Himmel og Hav, nårh nej Himmel og Jord
Hej fra Ringsted
nicely done, i enjoyed that
this is totally some sort of sleeper agent activation sound
Is that a good or a bad ting? 🤔
Sounds like a toilet indigestion.....
😂 It all depends on the ears...
En fornøjelse, med sådan en lækker himmel.
nice one
Mmm....no thanks.
Yeah...slow & cool - greetings from Cosmos in Chiang Mai !
The Dead Can Dance instrument I've been dreaming of. I just purchased one on ebay. This is going to be interesting, provided it works as promised!
Been thinking of getting one of these. Your video has convinced me. Lovely performance, with evocative sounds. The drum buttons really make it. Being a keyboard player myself, I can relate to the button spacing issue. I have had a conventional version, for many years now, and I do get used to it, the more I play (of course ;-) Thanks for sharing, and best wishes for your continued success/fun with music 🎶🌎☮❤
Thanks 🤗 You might like the first and last track on my album Poetic too - they have the Wakaru as absolute main instrument 😊
Wow - very cool demonstration. Thanks for sharing!!
Thanks 😊
What firmware using? 1st?
Yes. I have only tried the original - until now 😊
🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩👏👏👏👏
Sounds really Balkanized, you're possibly using some mystery Romanian scale.
Kind of bluesy too 😊
Love it! I can see several different features you are employing at different stages like momentary pitch shifting, key hold, parameter hold etc. Which algorithm and pitch scale are you using?
I frankly don't remember 😅 I am pretty sure I tuned the scale myself though
Beautiful!
Thx :)
my Terra is here! nice jam over there!!
Enjoy!! :)
Good morning 🌄! So great to meet you 😊. Thank you so much for this amazing presentation. Wow! These are so cool! Super well played. I hope everything is well in Your world 🌎. Mark Bensette Aux Bois 🇨🇦.
Thanks 😊 all the best to you
Bravo.
Love the choice of wood color
The dark wood is just beautiful 😍
Brilliant! Mine arrives july 5. So stoked.
You can look forward to that! 😊
Incredible.
Thanks 😊
Beautiful as always! I can't wait for the opportunity to get my own! This instrument could be used in so many groundbreaking ways!
Indeed a very versatile synth
Nice. Cosmos and Terra seem to be a perfect match.
