Found that my internet provider blocks this port automatically due to security concerns so there is no way I can create a share folder on my Win 11 desktop using this method. Thanks.

@Freddy, how can I replicate the file share permissions to Azure Files if I am not using Entra connect sync, no connectivity to on-prem AD and not using Azure File sync. The file share permissions are cloud only so what would be the best way to either use the same NTFS permissions in the cloud or replace it?

Great tutorial, but one configuration is missing for me! What are the prerequisites for the SMB Share? How do I set permissions, so the Storage Mover Agent is allowed to access files in the SMB-Share? For now I even assigned 'Full Control' for 'Everyone' on our newly created share, but still the migration job exits with error code AZSM1001 stating permission is denied

Hi Freddy Thanks for the video. I have two questions: 1) Why do we need the VGW in the NewNet if we create a VNET peering? Is it not enough the VGW and the Firewall in the ProdVNET? 2) Why do we need the Firewall? is the security not enough just using the VGW in the PRodVNET?
