What a beautiful well thought out interpretation. The tone is lute like at times. The melody is so expressive while the voicings are just perfect. This is a unique and superlative performance, Thank you for this incredibly nuanced performance.

A very "straight" performance. You wouldn't know, for example, that over the repeated phrase at 1.11 (and 1.46) Gottschalk wrote "con timidezza" (first time) and "più resoluto [sic]" (second time) and over the following phrase "elegante" and then "dolente"; it all sounds the same to me! Thanks for posting this lovely piece, though.

Hm, if it was an 'Etude' it would have some charming aspects being played this way. I do not believe that Scarlatti was a person as 'dry' as this sonata sounds like.

I very much like this interpretation. Most pianists zoom through this Polonaise at supersonic speed to show off their technique. Here, the pianist takes a slower tempo to savor the music.
