I was there! Having done DCI in 80s which was fn unbelievable! Star put together some great performances! The Mello line from this year was amazing!

You need to update this as of 2024

2019 was my first and last year marching dci and it was one of the best and most memorable experiences in my life. I marched with Guardians, who also broke their record in open class finals.

They got screwed over in 2008. They were the best corps during finals week, slightly above Blue Devils and should have been at least 2 points above Phantom Regiment.

You gotta be feelin mighty uppity to post a video of the "hardest" drill in DCI, with not a single mention of The Cavaliers...

The bottle dance premiered in 1973. DCI's first year was 1972! Those announcers should know better. BTW in 1971 my elbow contact, in concert, was a fellow named Jim Ott. He left after our first tour and was replaced by Stanley Knaub.

It took 25+ years for me to find a high-camera video of this sequence. Whoever made the call to switch cameras to the flags in the backfield (where literally nothing of interest was happening) during the PBS broadcast really blew it.
