California School Bus Pre-Trip 2024
Demonstration of required School Bus Pre-Trip inspection for California. Includes new pre-trip items added on 2/2023. I go into some more detail and explanation during the video in a few areas for the sake of clarity. Please note the pre-trip must be completed in 45 minutes or less for the CHP Behind the Wheel test.

you gotta love the bluebird First Aid kit in a Thomas bus as this is something I have noticed alot
If the Bus had already been running when you checked the oil you won’t have an accurate reading. The oil should be checked before starting the Bus.

Thanks man. i would've been better to shut off the bus while doing pre trip around the bus because it's hard to hear you and i'm sure if the inspector was there he would have failed you because it's hard to hear you voice while the bus is running. Thanks for this great video.
why is there no strobing leds ambers and red warning lights and also why no strobing leds on the stop sign?

Couple of issues never start your bus while not in the driver's seat.... Something happens you can quickly stop the bus if it were to move abruptly.... 2. You failed just by the amount of time you let that bus idle ... And it's pitman arm and drag link on that model....
