One problem with ssg, it triggers their pain state and then they'll launch a rocket unless you juke them, best plan is to hide behind the nearest wall or obstacle

It's not really spelled out in the guide how to avoid the arch-vile attack. Basically, even though the flames will take a second to burn out, if it cannot see you - it cannot blast you. Break line of sight immediately when the flames pop up and you'll be safe.

My only disagreement is wasting rockets & plasma on chaingunners. They have such low health your best option is almost always to just shoot them with a hitscan weapon, they're glass cannons. Occasionally if you hit a *real* mass of them, it's BFG time, but other than that I'd never bother using anything but bullets and shells. Gotta save all those rockets for the tightly packed hordes, revenants, knights and barons.. (I am surprised rockets weren't suggested for revenants, it's a great choice at med/long range)

There's a ton of 'but actually....' contradictions and advice I could give from playing Doom for over 20 years, but overall, this guide is very rock solid for someone new to it.

in Doom II and later on, a super shotgun is the most effective and handy weapon against the imps, once upon a time I killed 3-4 of them in only one shot!

If u playing on gzdoom or any doom with free aim camera, You can simply stand on the platform where there is a button to activate the elevator, If he stands straight to the icon of sin, just shoot him in the brain aka john romero

So basically, shoot at it until it dies, got it
