I would say you severely downplayed the repetitiveness con. While it's true that there are a ton of features and little side things that they add for you to do throughout the game, almost all of these systems are incredibly shallow and uninteresting and take up extremely little time relative to the diving parts (the repetitive parts). What I mean is... you mostly do things like go to your farms and press a few buttons and leave. That's it. That's all you do there. The majority of the side stuff "gameplay" is walking up to stuff and pressing the spacebar. Maybe buy an upgrade every now and then. 99% of your game time is swimming through the exact same environments harpooning the same fish over and over and pressing spacebar to pick up the same items over and over. EXTREMELY BORING GAME AFTER JUST ~10 HOURS

Seems like they changed the chest trick.. i put all my mats in one chest along both side of the wood and copper side but it doesnt work anymore

Great tip! You should also add, that since the chest has to be inside the lines, you can move a chest full of materials (nails, planks) between diferent areas during build mod. I have the working areas next to each other, so I use one chest, but just move it between the areas, it takes like 0,5 seconds to do it and it is a game changer

Really great tips here. Only negative thing I have to say about the game is the time speed. I know they were going for the Stardew thing but they made it waaaay too fast in my opinion.

Once I got a full group of staff, I just toss the work onto them and head off to collection. Especially helpful when you got the important guest showing up that day. Earned extra xp and made a lot of money.
