When using the climate schedule, what heating mode should be set for it to defrost windshield in winter? My climate/heating setting does not seem to work. I've tried all suggestions below. Thanks
where can I find home link bottom in mitsubishi 2023 phev le
I thought you'd be my savior, explaining one thing I've been looking for an explanation of, and you completely skipped over it. At 9:14, I need to know what "Adjust speed by route" is. You highlighted it but then went to the next page.
It is surely on the 2025 plug in hybrid GT Noir ….. love it
When do you get 64mpg, thought it was 26mpg when battery is drained?
Hey David! Thanks for commenting Yes, the gasoline engine gets 26mpg combined, but the 64 mpg is actually 64MPGe. The "e" stands for equivalent. So what Mitsubishi is referring to is the efficiency of driving on just battery. The electric mileage of this car translates to the equivalent of 64MPGe. I hope this helps!
@midstatemitsubishi wouldn't that vary based on how much gas is per gallon?
@@davidparker7156 in this case its referring to energy used, not the price equivalent of gas, but the amount of energy that a gallon of gas converts to vs the amount of energy that a kWh converts to. The Outlander uses about .52kWh/mile which converts to the 64MPGe that is advertised with the vehicle.
@@midstatemitsubishi Thanks, i know it has a 20kw battery and never uses it all, can you tell me when empty how many KW it takes to fully charge, also taking into account efficiencies of charging with the included charger?
299/year it’s absolutely insane. 😢
Does the US spec have the "Armourlite Security Panel" ??
I have a 2023 Outlander PHEV, but a euro spec one, and the "Horn Beeps on Lock" isn't there sadly :(
That is sad :( I wonder if there is different noise restrictions in the Europe that do not allow that feature to be activated. Does the Euro Spec one include rear fog lights by chance?
@midstatemitsubishi yes it does
I have a 23 ES. The climate schedule feature can be found on the screen but doesn't actually activate as scheduled. Any ideas?
@@bencressy3726 thanks for commenting! My first suggestion would be to make sure of a few things: the doors are closed and locked (with the key fob, if you use the button on the inside door panel to lock the vehicle, it does not arm the alarm, therefore the vehicle will not start) and that the vehicle is in an open area. The telematics system uses the t-mobile network to communicate with the vehicle. A good way to test the connection is by test calling Mitsubishi Connect via the “info” button on your touchscreen. If all of this fails, I recommend contacting Mitsubishi Connect support as there are diagnostics they can check on their end. Hope this helps!
Ok, I'll double check how I locked it. We don't pay for the app - if I program this from the screen, is the app still essential for this feature?
@midstatemitsubishi works fine now when using key fob, thanks! You guys seem to be very in the know on this car. I may use you for service.
@@bencressy3726 I just want to clarify for my own knowledge, your trial period has expired and the climate control schedule still works just fine? But we're glad to hear that the climate control is working with the vehicle locked! We're located right on Route 20 in Auburn, MA if you ever need anything. Thanks again!
@@bencressy3726 I just spoke with the Mitsubishi Care Center and they said that the screen version of the climate timer should still work when the trial is expired. Thank you!
Just got outlander app does let me set dif temp
@@mrtrido thanks for commenting! Did you get the Outlander or the Outlander Plug-in? On the plug-in it will let you set a different temperature but so far, the Outlander has not let us set the temperature. Also, are you in the US Market? Thank you!
@ yes usa std outlander i need to try can i at night turn like defroster on turn car off then next day remote start and the def would be on? also if i did this would i not hit the temp 75 button
@@mrtrido correct me if I'm misunderstanding your question, but to my knowledge, the 75 degree temperature will dictate the temperature and dispersion of the air blowing after the remote climate is turned on. So if it's real cold, it should blast the defrost with heat, but if it's warm outside, it should blast cold air from the front facing vents.
@@midstatemitsubishi ok so you think say it is 32 outside air temp that remote start will also use the front windshield defrost. i was thinking no only heat vents like floor and i would need to turn on defroster setting night before turn car off. then next am remote start would my last setting in this case the defroster?or mabe no doesnt work that way and remote start over rides last used setting. thanks
@@mrtrido I see what you're saying. Yes, the remote start does override whatever controls were previously set.
So what can i use for my 2020 outlander sport
@@ashleyolson9140 hey Ashley! Unfortunately the 2020 Outlander Sport does not have a connected app like this. There are aftermarket options available if you wanted to use a mobile app, but your local Mitsubishi dealer also sells factory remote starts that work with a separate fob if you were interested. A good gift for the holidays 😉
That one pedal mode should not be used!!! As soon as you turn it on, the BRAKE pedal immediately begins to physically depress. Even when you are accelerating or maintaining speed, the brake pedal is physically pulled down and you can feel the car brake - WHILE DRIVING/ACCELERATING FORWARD! Also the instant you let off the gas, the brake pedal will brake really hard - it DOES NOT COAST. This is NOT saving your brake pads, it is using your brakes to slow the vehicle harder than you would ever brake while braking 'manually'. When you use the paddles only, it does NOT activate any braking at all and any slowing is done by the electric motor. That one pedal mode will grind your brakes off in no time. EVEN WHILE ACCELLERATING, the brake pedal is on. People feel the hard braking in one pedal mode and think all that 'excess power' is being put into the battery via the electric motor. No, most of that energy is burned off as heat and the metal dust on your brake pads! I drive the same route every day. When I use the pedals in B5 and EV / ECO only mode, I get to my destination (exact distance every day) and get +1 km from regen each way. When I used to use the one pedal mode, it would give me ZERO regen for the same distance. Every day it would give me ZERO. Salespeople of Mitsubishi, please stop pushing this one pedal thing. It does not work as advertised - at all. I know you like it because people will have to bring their car back for brakes much sooner so you can make more money!!! win win!
Thanks for watching and commenting! I hate to disagree, but the One-Pedal Mode uses the electric motor just like the paddles. It's very similar to driving in "B5" all the time. I agree that the brake pedal does depress a bit but this is using the regenerative braking system to do this. Just like when you depress the brake and see the "charge" meter glow green. Using the one pedal mode also doesn't kick you out of "EV" mode like driving around in B3-B5 will do. I personally drove a 2025 model about 24 miles the other day and only lost 12 miles worth of charge while I had the one pedal mode on. This was done at low speeds with a lot of stop and go in a very hill-filled route. I hope this helps a bit, we take pride in our vehicles being low maintenance and would not wish premature brakepad wear on our customers.
Too bad it does not allow you to set a target % level of charge. For some reason my vehicle will automatically start the gas motor whenever you put the regen paddles above level 2 as long as the battery is above 80%. Even with a 100 percent full battery and in EV mode, it immediately starts the gas motor and tells you it has disabled the EV mode, as soon as you put the regen level above 2 (what, is it starting the motor to charge the already 100% battery?!!!). Once it is below ~80% charge, it will stop the gas motor and run off electric as it is supposed to. Really stupid design for a vehicle that is supposed to save gas / the environment - forcing me to run on gas for no reason until my battery is low. I have to burn up my brakes faster and harder and not recover more power from braking until my battery is down below 80%. It only works as designed when the battery is NOT full.
Nice. But I think you forget to mention abou thte little km/h indicator on the lower righthand corner. That can't be turned off? Also, and I can't imagine that you would put your opinion here, is this thing fairly reliable? I mean, it isn't as if t Mitsu is new with this tech.
Thanks for watching! I don't believe the km/h can be turned off, I just went and verified on a 25 model, you can switch the units up but then mph will appear instead of km/h. The new technology has been fairly reliable on these. There were a couple software hiccups with the release of the '22 model (as there is with most first year model redesigns) but things seem to have been resolved with software updates since then.
Money grabbing exercise ! Thought Mitsubishi was different 🙄🤔
That's the world in 2024 unfortunately. :/
How do I clear the all the words and just have the speed showing? I don't want to see Manual Reset1 or Manual Reset2 or Auto Fuel. Just the digital speed.
If you use the left and right arrows (the ones that flank either side of the silver scroller), you can cycle to the page that house the "home" icon. That should be what your looking for. On the models with the 7" meter cluster, it will show the digital speedo in the middle, but on the models with the 12.3" digital meter cluster (like in the video), it will show a picture of the car with a compass, and the weather conditions. If you would like that page to be blank, make sure to scroll down with the silver scroller while on the home icon and it will pull up a blank page. I hope this helps!
Yes ..... but LED horizon range is too short on hilly roads
Thank you. Driving the 2024 at night, on rolling country roads at night is just dangerous. :((😊
We need all the light we can get. Hope you're using the Automatic High Beams!
Great video. How do I adjust the headlight highbeam height; like the 2018 PHEV had.
Thanks for watching! Unfortunately the 23-25 does not have the same headlight adjustment like you're referring to on the 2018 model (underneath the drivers side vent.) You might be able to adjust it the old-school way with a screwdriver on the headlight assembly under the hood, but unfortunately there is not a dial like you're referring to, Thanks again!
I have a 22 Outlander SE...every time I drive, it beeps twice at me, i'm guessing it has to do with going over the speed limit not sure tho, is this a safety feature that can get shut off??
Hello, thank you for commenting. Are you by chance, in Canada? In the US, I haven't had an Outlander beep at me for going over the speed limit, but I have seen other comments from fellow Outlander owners in Canada. They have mentioned that the car beeps at them for exceeding the speed limit. In the meter cluster settings, under "driver assistance," you can turn off the "Traffic sign recognition." This may be your best bet. Let me know how it goes!
@@midstatemitsubishi I don't know for sure if it's speed based, I'll try that tho
@@lukepghpa1080 The only other beep I can think of is the beep from the blind spot monitoring when you put on the turn signal when someone is in your blind spot. If you wouldn't mind letting me know, it would be very helpful. Thank you!
@midstatemitsubishi I figured it out! It's actually on the radio, if you go under settings, then navigation, then safety guide settings, you can turn off the speed limit warning

My black edition doesn’t have carplay, I have tried to connect my iPhone to it but no notifications for carplay
Hello, wireless CarPlay was not available on the 2022 Black Edition. The 23-24 both have it, but unfortunately not the 2022. A good indicator is: if your 2022+ Outlander has built-in navigation, it will also have the Wireless CarPlay. I hope this helps!
THANK YOU!
I can’t find the button to turn on the Head up display. I just bough the Mitsubishi outlander PHEV Sel. Any ideas?
Hey Michelle, congrats on the new PHEV! On the 2023-2025 models, the Heads Up Display is only available on the SEL Touring, SEL Premium, and the Platinum Edition. If you have one of these trim packages, the button will be located underneath the driver's side air vent. Right underneath the brightness adjuster near the charger unlock switch and the gas door. I hope this helps!
Is this method available for Montero Sport , and How I can register in Mitsubishi Remote 👋🏻App
Vehicle Class KS24A-GLS-E31-HL 2023
Thank you for commenting! Unfortunately, since the Montero Sport is unavailable here in the US, I cannot confidently answer that question. However, after a little research, Mitsubishi Connect seems like it may be available in certain regions. I also found an application called Mitsubishi Remote Control for the the Montero Sport. I hope this helps! Sorry we couldn't be of more assistance.
Does the 2024 Se Tech still have the full map on the dash too? or is it just the PHEV
Yes it does! Any model that has the 12.3" Digital Driver Display would have this in the 24 Outlander (SE Tech, SE Black Edition, SEL, Platinum)
I dont have garage to plug it in. Do you think it is still economical to own one? I am thinking of trading in my Outlander 22 GT (Gas) for the PHEV version.
That's okay! You don't necessarily need a garage to plug it in. If you have access to a plug, it should still work out just fine. Mitsubishi does however, recommend using a dedicated circuit to avoid blowing a fuse. Most outside plugs are dedicated, just make sure to check first. Or if you have access to a level two J1772 charger at work or out in public, that would also work well.
So what trim level gets the 360 view ? I am looking at buying 2022 the SE S-AWC
In 2022, both the SE and the SEL will have the 360 view camera.
@@midstatemitsubishi thank you
I have the 2022 black edition and mine doesn't do that
Thanks a lot for all the details! 👍 I got beep alert / chime inside my car once in a while when I drive, but nothing pop up on the display… tried my best to figure out what that’s for in the past weeks and now I think it’s an alert from over speed limit. Do you know if there’s a way to turn that off? I don’t see any over speed limit alert in settings and I am not sure which alert to turn off. Thanks in advance. 🙏
Thanks for watching! The seatbelt chimes on these vehicles when you're unbuckled. Is there a chance that your/your passenger's seatbelt wasn't fastened? That's the only chime I've heard in these so far (and we don't follow the speed limit too often up here in Massachusetts LOL)
@@midstatemitsubishi, thanks for your quick response. Not seat belt for sure as I always ensure everyone in car has it on before driving. Just tried and confirmed today with a longer out town trip, it’s a 2 beeping sound, and it will sound every time the car reaches 10km over the speed limit. I’m in Canada, and most driver drive like 5-15km over the speed limit at where I live, depending if it’s city or freeway. It’s quite easy to trigger the beeping when I simply wanna follow the traffic.😅 Will greatly appreciate if you happen to know how to turn it off or maybe how to set a higher range before the alert will be activated. 😊 But totally understand if the model in Canada might be any different. Just trying my luck 😆. Thanks anyway!
@@ViViWaWa Hey there! Sorry for the late response, I wanted to go drive a USA version myself to see. Now I did drive over the speed limit (on a closed track of course 😉), and it did not 'ding' at me. I do however, have a recommendation. In the meter cluster settings (speedometer area), if you go into Settings -> Driver Assistance -> traffic sign recognition. You should be able to turn off the traffic sign recognition, possibly disabling the "ding" altogether. Unfortunately since our model doesn't make the sound, I can't test it, but try it out and let me know how it goes!
Thank you Jake very much for your great video! I have tried inside out in the owner's manual, that came with my 2024 Outlander PHEV, for instructions on how to shift from D to B gear. The manual explains what B is and how the Paddle Shifters work, but nowhere in the manual they tell you how to shift from D to B! It does tell you that you can only shift to B from D, but not "How" . To someone just shifted from a gas only vehicle to this PHEV, the manual is very confusing. Thank you again for the great show! The car is well designed and runs so well, but the manual is so poorly written in English. I am guessing it is a straight word-to-word translation from Japanese. Whoever did that needs to improve the language skills.
I hope the video helped find "B" for you! Thank you for the comment. The manuals have lots of definitions, but not much 'How to" unfortunately. If you have any suggestions for more "How to's", let us know. Thanks again!
I just bought my first (new car) 2024 and im wanting to learn as much as i can its the es phev, i wanted it specifically because it was all black i really wish they had the decked out model but this will serve me well. ill be reading the bible on this thing after work for about a year, but if there is more detailed good to know knowledge we can tap into on the systems and what they offer that would be so cool
Congrats on the new ride! I think you'll really enjoy it. It may be the "Base" model, but only 1% of PHEV's made are the ES Model. So you may just have a rare gem there. Please reach out with any questions, we're happy to help. Thanks for watching!
I received your answer, but I have a 20024 phev outlander. When I press the fan icon all I get isthe temp (in this case 21C) and start below that is the schedule. No stop button
It sounds like your climate may have already stopped then. After the climate is started, the "start" button should be replaced with "stop"
how do I turn of my climate control. I set it but no longer want to use it
Hello Wayne, there's two buttons depending on your model of vehicle. In the Eclipse Cross, click on "Start/Stop Engine" and click on "stop." In the Outlander/PHEV, click on "climate" (the fan icon), and click on "stop." Or if you waited it out, the climate is set to automatically turn off after 10 minutes.
Hearing the song feels like I got shot in the head with a nostalgia bullet. Mitsubishi, you make decent cars and all, but this is too fire for you.

Hey @Dabbidoo, thank you for your comment. In order to find your Energy Flow display, you must scroll right until you find the Car shaped icon. Once there, scroll down until you find the energy flow screen. If for some reason it's not there, you must navigate into the settings. Settings -> Customize Display -> Main Menu Selection. From there, scroll until you find "Energy Flow" and click it in with the scroller. The dot should light up blue, and should appear now in your Car Menu. Believe it or not, Australia wont give us access to this.
I believe it, when you first download the app, it only lets you select "North America, Asia or Europe." However, on the App Store, there is other Mitsubishi remotes but I'm not sure if those would work?
Same in Uk !
What about driving in B0 instead of D ? What are you thought about that ?
I don't think you'd see a huge difference in effenciency at that point. I'd recommend using the "One-Pedal Mode" instead, this will help regenerate electricity while saving wear on your brakes and keep you from having to switching pedals as often. Hope this helps!
How can I change the Celsius temp back to normal temperature?
If the Mitsubishi Connect App is showing your temperature in Celsius, it’s because your phone is set to metric units. If you go into your phones settings (both Apple and Android), you should be able to search for “temperature unit” and change it. This should soon translate over to the app. Hope this helps!
I feel like I should get university credits for this “course”. Saved for repeated viewing!
There’s a pop quiz this Friday at 2PM Thank you!
We shouldn’t charge if the car is warm?
Thank you for this video.
Can you only remote start when setting temp?
Not necessarily. On both the Eclipse/PHEV it will give you the option to set a temperature, otherwise it will default to 75 degrees. The Outlander always defaults to 75 degrees as there is no option to change the temperature. I hope this helps?
On a 2024 outlander is there a way to adjust the runtime of the remote start? Currently only running 10 mins.
Great video. Thank you.
Thank you!

Hello Annie, unfortunately the Outlander Sport does not have wireless capability. It’s strictly plug-in enabled. However, there are wireless CarPlay adapters available online

Thank you for the kind words! To my knowledge, there is no way to disable the seat belt notification. There may be a way with an advanced OBDII scan tool but I haven't found a way yet in the vehicle settings.
Thank you Is this available for eclipse cross?!
Hello! Thanks for the comment. This is available on certain Eclipse Cross models. On the 2018-2023 models. it is available on the SE/SEL trims, on the 2024, it is available on the LE/SE/SEL trims.
If they made the row roll actually usable for an adult with out cramping in it would be a killer suv The outlander has sooo much potential I don’t understand why they don’t capture rhat
In a pinch or for occasional use, it's great to have. Unfortunately, if they wanted to make it any larger, they'd need the vehicle on a larger chassis, leading to higher import taxes, leading to a less affordable model. Maybe one of these days we'll see Mitsubishi come out with a larger "Grand Outlander" type model.
Thank you!
