William Wallace is betrayed by Robert the Bruce
the music, the acting all of it. a movie 20 years old, look what they do now.....MASTERPIECE
I swear this soundtrack adds so much to these scenes, from top to bottom (historically inaccuracies aside) this movie is a masterpiece.
I had a friend did that to get..only friend I had I thought I could trust Fked me hard
That sense of betrayal is undeniable that’s why as a kid I cried when he gave up I so understood, I would have done the same His eyes are just saying “why brother, why….”
Robert the Bruce and his free mason family.
Trust Hollywood to take a national hero and turn him into a backstabber. None of this happened!
This is one of the absolute best scenes in the history of cinema. It encompasses virtually all aspects of human emotion: anger, hate, vengeance, frustration, greed, selfishness, betrayal, forgiveness, altruism, companionship, guilt, regret, resolution, redemption, even nostalgia to a degree.
When you see William begin to tear up and he shakes his head, you can almost sense he was going to say, “why?”
You al Ready vote Scotland you Want to Stay with UK maybe because of the economy you forget about it, the Whole world knew it 2024
The best scene in the history of the cinematography
I was betrayed by lot of People , but i have Never betray somone , i am still standing and fighting in this life , living as a fathful person
Зачем они ведра на голову одевали?😂

This scene ALWAYS makes my heart crumble.
Stephen immediately knew what happened
That's the thing about Betrayal it never comes from the enemy
I remember watching this the first time and was filled with so much hate for Bruce and wished he killed him but when I saw Mel Gibson( William Wallace) fall down I felt his pain and gave in
It was also an inflection point for Robert Bruce. He spent time looking at the casualties on the battlefield. He realized that those people whom his father perceived as tools are real. Look, from a young age his father was feeding him tricks of politics. But when he faced real consequences of his betrayal he changed his mind.
In reality Robert The Bruce never even met William Wallace, he was far away kicking English ass
Let's appreciate how the music perfectly accompanies every shot and the arc of this moment.
Step aside Stanley Kubrick, Mel Gibson made the best movie
William Wallace = The American people Robert the Bruce = The American government, every single one of them.
🔥👑🔥 ThankS Ty So MucH 👁️👁️ GOTu HUMAN 10nes 🎉 🎉🔥☠️😇☠️🔥🎉
Robert I was done so dirty by Mel Gibson's historical revisionism in this movie. Not only was he not actually present at Falkirk, the name "Braveheart" applies to him, not William Wallace.
I agree about the Falkirk scene, but one could argue the name of the Movie is referring to Robert the Bruce, since it ends with him carrying on Wallace’s legacy & leading the final battle of the movie.
Great acting. For Me Lawrence oliviers "Dead eyes" scene in the Entertainer, is still the epitome tho
Dolchstoß Yeah Mel understands it very well
Timeless movie! Who's watching in 2024?
Robert Bruce became a fine king after all, I guess. RIP William Wallace
The worst thing about betrayal, is it never comes from the enemy....
Anyone who Betrays Alba and Èire are going straight to Hell greater son then Murder
Robert De Bruce in History was a Great man with a Good heart
you can see the heart in his eyes because of the betrayal of bruce BUT bruce smartens up and never does him wrong again

Et tu, Bruce?
PLIAGA,,NIC SA NEZMENILO🤮🤮🤮
Not a single word was spoken, but you can tell exactly what they're saying to eachother.
The fact that Mel portrays perfectly how a betrayal feels like without a single word. Even me here watching this felt a knife in the guts… This is beyond acting. Powerful scene!🫡🙌🏻
never understood why the guys chasing would just allow robert the bruce to help wallace get to safety and just keep running right past him?! seems bizzare and an oversight given that hes switched sides to help england. shouldnt they either recognize him and attack him for his betrayal of the new agreement, OR not recognize his face and kill him simply for helping wallace?
Sometimes, no words spoken are heard better than many words spoken.
"Those men who bled the ground red at Falkirk, they fought for William Wallace, and he fights for something that I never had. And I took it from him, when I betrayed him. I saw it in his face on the battlefield and it's tearing me apart."
Dami je se boriti s njim !
You do know there is a sequel to this movie called Robert the Bruce made in 2020 staring the same man who betrayed Wiliam Wallace
