hope you pre oiled that machine, no oil in the pan and your running it fast. I pre oil mine before I sew anything if its sit overnight

Oh, This is so helpful! I discovered that changing thread weight caused the needle to come unthreaded every time I cut. I had to call my tech to come adjust it every time I switched weights. A costly endeavor that forced me to limit what I sewed on that machine. Can't wait to get home and play with this. Wish I could like this more than once! Thanks!!

I have the long arm version of the "Singer patcher" from another brand, but the same machine. Glad to see you face occasionally the same problems like me. It´s missing out a stitch and the optical result is bad. This is an old construction, not made for electrical engine assistance to my opinion. You can fix with this machine many things a normal machine is not capable of, but a clean seam is not the machines strength to my opinion. Sew slowly, never try to race the machine, the "bridge" is not made for this.

Hi! This is an old video but I just got my 20u73 set to this and I’m having issues catching the thread when my foot is off.. I don’t have the embroidery plate yet as I ordered one but am using the zig zag plate. Is there an adjustment that needs to be done? Or do I need the embroidery plate. It works with the zigzag foot attached but it’s hard to move the fabric around freely

What do you mean large bobbin? Size U, M ect. Would help if you specified size other than large. Large means different things to different people. Thanks.
