MARK MY WORDS #17. Has Living In Japan Changed You? Reverse Culture Shock?
Josh From Birmingham and I decided to go day camping in Okutama Tokyo. Since we always film in bars we thought of doing something different.
Japan has some of the most beautiful rivers and forests, all easily accessible by train. We reflect on our time in Japan, discuss how living in Japan has changed us, our traveling history, culture shock when going back home and more.

Japanese Boy’s First British Pub Experience.

Hiroki and I went to the UK. I recommended that he try a real pub in a small countryside town. We went to a small dodgy pub in Hereford. He was the first and only Japanese person to EVER visit this pub. He was known as “The Traveller.” Everyone was welcoming and friendly even though they could barely understand each other.

Nice video Markus. I don't have a single tattoo, but I don't mind people who do it. I would get one if they faded to nothing after 5 years of so. If I lived in Japan I wouldn't get one due to Onsens. I don't understand your Mrs complaining about tatts when she married or got with you when you had them. Makes zero sense mate. My brother was in the British army for 23 years and retired recently and he's covered in tattoos, he loves them. All of his are about brotherhood and being British and family etc. I respect that. I admire you going to this guy as he seems to have a lot of Japanese Tattoo influence. I still loved that video of Guy Martin getting a real Yakuza tattoo of cherry blossom in Japan done with handmade needles. Sadly that guy who gave him that tattoo is now dead, but his work lives on. Hope you are enjoying the UK again mate
Cheers. In Japan tattoos are still taboo. I respect that because it’s still a big deal, whereas in the west people don’t really respect tattoos and it’s just done on a whim. It’s because she doesn’t want my life to be hindered which I greatly appreciate. But sometimes you gotta do your thing. Actually someone close to me died last month. I came here to attend the funeral. she had the same rose tattoo. So I got this in respect for her. Tattoos aren’t for everyone. But if you do then you should do your research and take your time. Get something that means a lot to you, or something that looks cool!
@@Markus.Vidal247 I'm really sorry to hear of you someone you know had passed away. I'm sorry for that brother. Your tattoo sounds nice in that respect. My brother is currently paying for a new arm sleeve of things close to him as he only had one arm before, he's doing it due to ex army and warzones and soldiers he lost etc. I understand what Tattoos mean for people. I hope whoever you went to see the funeral of rests in peace and you can take comfort in their life and I admire you doing a tattoo in their honour

This was a really nice video mate. One thing that is blowing my mind with Japanese women now, is they are all buying into lazer hair removal, which is nuts to me. Look at the evidence, the world number one porn for the past decades has been Japanese porn and generally the women have some hair down below. Whenever I'm in a relationship, I like the woman to be creative, sometimes full bush, sometimes trimmed and sometimes clean shaven. The difference is fun, I'm not down for lazoring it all off. Japanese women have ignored how good looking they are and fell for bullshite marketing. Same goes for the eye surgery. They want to look European, yet they are ignoring their own beauty and a beauty that has them as number one porn country. Japanese women need to realise the world loves them. It's sad they are trying to change. I am kinda joking with my comments, but I'm also not
@@overthewebb yeah I know mate I’m the same. White girls wanna look brown, black girls wanna have Asian hair and Asians wanna look white. People always want to be different to others. It’s also why half Japanese are so popular in Japan.
@@Markus.Vidal247 Yeah, it's utter nonsense mate. One thing I have noticed for years, but even more so recently is when women in Japan go out, they generally go out together and when the men go out, they all go out together in parks etc. They hang in individual groups of one sex only. It blows my mind how 1 guy won't approach the other groupt to get them all talking together and having potential relationships. I see it and just think, go for it, take the risk. They are all just too nice

I love what you are saying. As a kid I loved this stuff, there is a book called the SAS survival handbook by John Wiseman. I read this book as a kid and spend years trying to make traps etc from the book as a kid
I’m getting curious about bushcraft. I want to try make a small shelter or a real fireplace with logs
@@Markus.Vidal247 Read the book SAS survival handbook. It's still regarded as the number one bushcraft book ever. The guy who wrote it John Wiseman was the survival instructer for the SAS. He was arguably the fittest SAS bloke ever. He still has the record for running 'the fan dance' the first phase of SAS selection and he is the youngest SAS recruit ever, as he passed at 18 after joining the Paras at 17. Guy is still alive and a real living legend
@@Markus.Vidal247 My brother was in the British army for 23 years and left as a Sgt Major a few years back. Hi, how did you go about getting tickets? I will be in Tokyo 11/21-11/25 and plan on going to Deep Jewels on 11/23. Are general admission tickets available at the window or should we try and buy them online?
@@Taylor-f5e1c my friend bought them online. That’s best because it is reserved seats only in most cases. If it is in Shinjuku there is a standing area for non reserved seats.
This looks cool mate, btw why do you never camp and stay overnight? As someone who is Scottish and who loves overnight camping I am wondering why. I know in Japan you can't just camp anywhere like Scotland as Japan needs everything to be sorted. I of course would be worried about Bears in some places. It makes me laugh how so many Japanese go Hiking with bells to stop Bears, yet, it's been proven they don't work. If I am in Japan hiking. I am 100% gonna have Bear spray on me fuck everyone else
I should say though, this does seem like a cool few hours and way to just hang out. I do get it and it's nice to see you are avoiding the usual nonsense
I’d like to camp overnight for sure that’s my plan. I started camping recently so I’m getting into it slowly. Also like you say you can’t camp anywhere which is annoying. There are some spots I’d like to camp such as Yamanashi or Nasu but I need to research more and see if I can actually camp there and not waste time traveling all the way there and be refused. For now I’m just trying to escape my stresses and this seems the best way. I watch Only fools and horses, eat beef and drink wine. The view ain’t half bad either!
Yeah Japanese people are funny whenever there’s any outdoor expedition. They buy every possible gadget and tool but most of that stuff is nonsense.

The best time to visit is between April and October. Weather is decent and loads of events. I personally love hot summer so for me I like July & August. However winter is great for those who like snow sports.
@@Markus.Vidal247 You are the first person ever who has spoken about loving the summer, but fair play. Visiting between April and October sounds kinda tough. However visiting between October and April is very different and that is ok
I love summer due to the festivals, events and beach. (And enjoying the ladies fashion of course). Japan feels alive and exciting in summer and people are in an adventurous mood. By far the worst months are march and June due to the rainy season and changeable weather.

I only date women that take the time to dress in kimono every day. and are polite and feminine. being a ceo is fine but you must portray the right image because the younger generations are watching you. have a foul mouth and you become toilet paper, only good for one time use.
Originally, Feminism was the well-intended but misguided attempt to use government to force men to treat women properly. Currently, Feminism has morphed into an openly hostile, anti-male, females-supremacist movement that actively attempts to advantage females at the cost of males. Originally, Feminism sought to uplift all of society by uplifting how men perceive and treat women. Today, Feminists care for females, not society.
I agree completely. They want equality and chivalry at the same time. It was a way for government to double the number of taxpayers. They want the cosy high paying desk jobs but not the dangerous dirty jobs. Everyone is a feminist until there is a spider in the living room. It’s also a key reason why the birth rate in Asia is declining so rapidly.
