Thank you for your comments. It is such a shame that this is the final season for this lovely Railway as it is all due to be lifted in November as the land is to be sold off.
Lovely video... The Stirling 8 footer is such a iconic, early express engine....a good idea to have a camera in the cab that shows the controls when the engine is riding...Good to see that there is a young engine driver as well....not only mature people... and the dedication plate at the end of the video says it all...
Great video mate and I don't suppose you know anywhere where I can drive these trains for one day as I'm looking at doing a video for my RUclips Channel and you just got yourself a NEW SUBSCRIBER!!
You would need to approach a model engineering society or miniature Railway in your area, which you will find by searching the internet. You would probably need to join the club first and receive training on the operation of a locomotive before you would be allowed to drive one.
I like the On train catering. Fantastic set up and what looks like a great location. The variety of rolling stock and scales are most impressive. Thank you.
Nice to see it running so well. Did your B1 come with a coal load ?
No, Asters do not come with a coal load. I make mine by forming a tray in plasticard to fit in the tender and fill it with real coal mixed with PVA adhesive. Once dry, the tray is easily removed to fill the meths tank.
@@MaidstoneMES Thanks Martin, I suspected that was the case. For anyone who does not wish to make their own I know that Peter Spoerer still makes them to order. Regards JD.
Cool
Excellent run with upgrade.
It is so difficult to comment on an specific piece of work because the mechanical and civil engineering is outstanding with exceptional detail also thrown in. Is there anything these guys cannot create. Beautiful and thank you.
7 1/4” auge?
Very nice, like .
1:40 Is that a Grange? Nice to see young and old(er) being taken for a ride!
Looks great. I would like to know more about the trucks and railway carriages. They look super .

Grandios👍👍👍. Herrliche Anlage und wunderschöne Fahrzeuge 🛤🚂🤩
How can I order a train and a magazine
How do I order one
These models are built by their owners or bought from other individuals. The best way to get information is to join your local model, engineering society and ask if any are for sale.
How can I buy a train
Fantastic
Fantastic video mate can I ask where is this railway based in would love to give it a visit? And you just got yourself a NEW SUBSCRIBER!!
Hi Dean, The railway is at the Parklands Holiday Park in Hemsby, near Great Yarmouth, Norfolk. The railway has a visitors week every May when I bring my loco from Kent for the week. The railway is normally open every Sunday in the Summer.
Wonderful models - would be nice if labels could be displayed for those of us who dont know our railways so well! (look how thickly clad you all are in our great 'Summer' of 22!
Ossam video Thanku
Hi I want train steam engine please help me thank you
The real Emily The Emerald Engine
What a great video, thank you. Thought I recognised the 38XX. Believe that's the one I was invited to drive at Maidstone, when I lived in Folkestone. My own 38XX is in mothballs as the person who built my boiler did it in such a way that it's impossible to pass the steam pipe through the boiler!! It will probably never be finished now.
Thanks for your comment. I do remember your visit and meeting you at Maidstone. I am sorry you have a problem with your boiler. I would be happy to offer a solution if you can tell me what is wrong with your boiler. I would need to know the size of the bushes on the backhrad and the front tubeplate. The alignment of the bushes is not important, my regulator has a step in it to get over the firebox.
@@MaidstoneMES Hi Martin. I don't have the boiler here at this time. I will look for you on FB Messenger and send some info. I'm already in touch with Tom. What a great pair you are. Thanks. Geoff.
Is that Jack to Juliet ahead?
It‘s Gauge 1 i guess, Right? Phantastic Loco!
Yes, it is an Aster gauge one, spirit fired loco.
When l was holiday in Hemsby in the late 70s / 80s with my parents there were two ungated level crossing road signs ( triangular ) at the top of a road as you turn into it ,so as to warn you as to what was ahead further up the road . l often wondered why they were there as l didn't recall any operating railway in this area . Was it anything to do with this railway ?
If a Driver passes a signal at danger here is he suspended until a further investigation?
🚂🚂🚂😎😎😎😎👍
You've managed to capture something special about the hobby, great video
Thank you Steven. I didn’t set out to make a video, they were just clips taken on my phone of a very enjoyable week with old and new friends. Thank you for your comment.
@@alvis4steam that's another nice thing about the hobby, the friends that you make, only another steam nut can understand
Now that looks very good. Excellent film. Also thank you for letting me know that your B1 is fitted with the latest piston upgrade.
beautiful locomotive beautiful video, slow motion is crazy
A very nice film of your week in the West. I particularly liked the on board film with the 'Duchess of Hamilton', a fine performer. Everything was so neat and tidy with lovely scenery.
Nice locomotive , your track is a good size Too
