The Story of an $8,000 Mooney Aircraft

The story of how I found an $8,000 Mooney Airplane and restored it. It is still a work in process! You can contact me at Eurostonewerks@aol.com
I laughed my ass a your analogy about flying out of a jungle to save your life. I've made tons of patches, and they're only on iso containers. Those things are beat up, and my patches are waaayyy better. How they had the guts to go in the air with that scraggly repair on the wing is baffling.
Any new updates on the Mooney?
GO TO BAS PART SALES FOR YOUR MOONEY. THEY HAVE EVERYTHING YOU NEED. FINIS PAX
Any update?
He showed a picture of the plane flying with busted screws bolts and rivets. The plane crashed and burned and the author has departed this planet.
Google it
So, a year later…
New subscriber disappointed in the labeling here. Nothing wrong with historical reference as it fills in the back story, but could have easily gained more attention and likes by keeping it separated. Just keep it concise and call it what it is. A short video under proper cover will keep folks who love aviation coming back.
Post another video you goober it's been a year what the heck come on inquiring minds want to know how much you spent get to 100 Grand yet😂😂😂
New subscriber. Stoked to see if you get her back in the air. Cheers Captain.
Dash?
so!... is it flying already??
I saw that plane on Google Maps around 8 or so years ago. Im local and actually thought about inquiring to get it, but never did. Happy to see it getting new life! Congrats
I personally need an update on this. What’s happening with the project Mark?
You mentioned that leaky gas tanks are common on Mooney. The wet wing tanks will develop leaks when flexed. The limited suspension travel of the rubber ring landing gear results in a lot of shock being transmitted into the wet wing, resulting in sealant failure. This is exacerbated by grass or rough field operation, as it appears your Mooney was used. Frequent cleaning and resealing of the wet wings may be necessary.
You should have brought an A&P mechanic with you for the inspection.
Good luck and congrats!!
Jimmys world for used parts dealer
Damn that plane looks fast just parked there. Nice, very nice.
I see she is sn 401...i own and fly sn 423. Great bird!
Nice to see it run. Wishing you the best. 1 year ago. What has happened since?
Need an update. Are you located in Memphis
Where is the Mooney?
I’m on the edge of my seat wondering if we’ll ever get another Mooney video? I’ve rescued two airplanes from 4-6 year slumbers and loved your approach so far.
Loving the beginning of this journey. It's been a year now so what is the latest with your Super 21?
dont giveup. i have been fling since i was 8 yup my dad for my 8th birthday gave me a flying lesson . by the tim ei was 16 i had over 500 hours. i got a hours lesson everyweek. funny i found in one of my old old old logbooks a reciept for my lessons.ready? instructor and plane was 8 bucks, old straight tail 150. my 1st airplanei bought was a 1947 stinson voyager for 1900 dollars. with a franklin. i flew that plane for many years i still have it. i also have 2 stearmans a stinson reliant for my cross country trips. not even close to being a fast plane but i am never in a rush. i have like7 planes now but? they still cost less than what a new 172 would cost. i personally prefer the old tail draggers i cruise along at 120 =140 mph depending on which plane i decide to take on a trip. i have room for one more plane so i am buying another super stearman, now that is a real airplane. i hav emore fun with them than i did with my harleys or streetrods i need to find a gf who likes old planes then it would be really run lol and at 70? i still think im 25 my brain does my body? not so much lol but do nto giveup ..
Mate, I am only at the 12min mark and already I am so green with envy. The Mooneys were/are a beautiful aeroplane and I wished I could have had one since I saw one land at my home town's airfield. It was the mid 70s and we had an air show on. But I was injured at work and couldn't finish my training. I am now gonna watch the rest of your vid. Oh, btw, I'm a retired Paramedic in Australia. Cheers.
Is there any new news? Did the Mooney turn out to be a basket case?
Bobby from Propelling here. Let me know if you need any assistance or have any questions about mooney stuff.
I get to the 11 minute mark before you even show the Mooney. Thats ridicules.
Hasn't flown since 2018 according to flightaware. What's the update?
Any update on the Mooney?
I heard you say Memphis and thought wow... he 's local... I purchased the rights to build a Cozy IV went to spruce bought everything I'd need to start the build... and life changed... So did you sell the square?
Amazing turn around from no way!, to hey man not too bad. 80 yr light plane neglected for so long needs to stay static even if approved to fly.
There's nothing I like more(*) than the sound of an abandoned airplane's engine running again. (*) metaphorically speaking since I do like Beer a lot.
What's going on? Has it ground to a halt?
This just to keep this alive ;-) As an old Mooney driver myself (exactly the same model as yours!) over here in Switzerland I can't wait for an update! Hope everything is OK on your side ❗ ❓
The airplane sound effect won me. You’ve got yourself a new sub!! Liking all your videos.
Sure would like an update. Surly you have some good or bad news to share. Anyway did enjoy
Brother do your self a favor and please get a couple of fire extinguishers and a couple of those fire blankets they advertise on youtube just in case.... I think you did get a diamond.
Quit Shooting Video In Portrait!
well, your AP should have serviced the , the oil and filter, spark plugs, the injectors, the gascolator and the intake air filter before trying to fire it up. If it had started you likely would have ingested the air filter and done some internal engine damage because the foam disintegrates on them . He is not very good at what he does.
Hey man, I just ran across your video. And man that’s just such an awesome story of you and this airplane! Really inspiring. Hope you got her airborne already and either way please put out more videos! I can’t wait to see what happens.
7 months and no update? I certainly hope all is well with you.
very interested in watching more vids on the Mooney!
WHERE IS THE UPDATE????
Update ?
Hi Mark, I wish you the very best with your lovely Mooney. It's going to take far longer than you think - restorations always do - but all your hard work and hard-earned money will be well spent. Your plane has found its correct owner. It looks as if there are lots of people rooting for you on this one and they can form an orderly queue behind me!
Bravo.thenks. go ahead
Horrible audio. Have you been sitting in a swing while recording?
