As I'm planning on what to do at the stops on my upcoming cruise, I'm checking out a lot of youtube videos. As this is my first time to the Caribbean islands, they are all helpful . . . to a certain extent. So many of them, like this one, have stunning drone shots. However, those drone videos don't help me at all unless I were renting a plane or a helicopter. I want to know what I will see at GROUND LEVEL! That will be my perspective. I'm a photographer. I love beauty. But aerial shots do not tell me what I'll see at Perto Plata, or wherever. When I become king, I will ban (worldwide) all drone shots for tourist information videos. Just sayin'.

You might want to learn how to pronounce some of these names......just a thought.

I went here about 35 years ago and it was fascinating then! You did a great job describing it. I used to walk the fortress every morning during my time there. I stayed at Hotel Lahti, but don't know if it is still there. it was fun to see where my grandfather came from. He stowed away on a cargo ship at 12 years old and came to the US. Strange to think if he hadn't, I probably would have been one of the inhabitants of the island! Such a beautiful area...I could definitely live there!

Hmm, you got the video wrong on these 3: 1) For the most of Perak Tong, the video shows Batu Caves in KL and elsewhere. 2) MAPS closed down many years ago. 3) Xin Jin Lin closed since over a year ago for safety reason after a fatal incident. Pls don't go to Harbin. It's a very dangerous place. Our 59 year old friend and colleague went there. She slipped n fell backwards n hit her head. She became unconscious and certified brain death. Human life is more important than one day experience.
