I dont wanna reply to the other person talking about Valentino directly, but... I love Valentino because it's a fantastic bad guy. He's not a flat evil cackling villain with no dimension. The Val we see in episode 2 and 8 are very different then the val we see here. The difference is being with his friends/family/teammates vs being in public. He's still a terrible person, but here's another side of him that is almost comedic in his villiany and anger. In episode 8, if you look at him dancing with Vox, there's a lot of sweet AF expressions on his face. Still a bag of dicks, but a nuanced bag of dicks.

Terastallization is the gimmick of the Paldea region, so it's from the most recent Pokemon games (Scarlet & Violet). The way it works is it changes the Pokemon's type to match it's Tera type (in Sudowoodo's case here changing it from a Rock type to a Grass type, losing it's previous weaknesses and resistances in exchange for the weaknesses and resistances of it's Tera type), but the Pokemon retains it's original STAB (Same Type Attack Bonus) for it's original typings while gaining STAB for it's Tera type as well, and in the case of a Pokemon having the same Tera type as it's normal type, it just doubles the Pokemon's STAB bonuses and removes and secondary typing (Pawmot for instance is normally Electric/Fighting, but an Electric Tera Pawmot would lose the Fighting type and become a pure Electric type as far as it's weaknesses and resistances went, but it would retain it's normal STAB for Electric & Fighting moves).

As well as... being well informed about where the English Dub comes out first these days - currently in Australia in fact with episode 24 having debuted there for the English Dub yesterday on April 1st (that is not a joke - I mean... in Japan, the entire Pokémon anime debuted on April 1st, 1997). - As for supporting the official release... the combination of the music replacements, the Dub gap and there not being any official sub certainly makes it easy for many to not even consider supporting the official release. (And there's also the subjective preference of whether one likes English or Japanese voices more which... for a show originally produced in Japan... tends to easily fall for the Japanese voices for many.) - 2:22: I have heard about that... with Final Fantasy VII's airship... and in particular fanart of Tifa Lockhart kinda... keeps appearing on my Twitter timeline without me ever having played or directly seen Final Fantasy. - 3:32: This scene... certainly does kinda sound weird - regardless of knowing the original Japanese context which... that'd be the usage of honorifics to be formal (which equals to Mr./Ms. in English). - 8:45: It's not typical for Pokémon to eat human food and vice versa... but there have been people and Pokémon who do that in the Pokémon anime. - 11:23: It was said before in the episode that Dot's job on the airship is based around collecting information after all. I think those are the ones which were said at this point in the show for the Rising Volt Tacklers. - 11:54: Fuecoco's entire evolutionary line has a thing with singing, that's why it's a very important part here too. Episode 6: - 13:25: Yeah... levels don't really exist in the anime like that (they were once mentioned in the OG days, but they are of no actual importance in the show). - 14:48: Rayquaza is a Legendary Pokémon, so of course it has a special backstory and... a Black one at that... that's the story of Shiny Pokémon. They are rare to find in the games and especially for Legendary Pokémon, it can take forever for one to appear randomly by a certain chance. - 14:53: No, Roy thought the Poké Ball was empty before this moment. - 16:29: Yes, Friede is a Pokémon Professor who doesn't like to be called Professor by other people. - 21:00: Like almost all names in this current show are directly taken from the Japanese version and just kept the way they are.

It goes hand in hand with the replacement of almost all the background music with more generic Dub music. - 2:29: That... well very could have a more major reason as to why the Explorers are named as they are. Like you said, it doesn't really sound like a group of evildoers. - 3:25: Yes... it is. (In the very early times of the Pokémon anime, some real animals sometimes appeared, but like that was the early days where everything wasn't quite set in stone for this show.) - 24:41: I mean... there is a reason why folk easily go over to piracy in this regard when it's so hard to officially even find the shows officially and... well, there also is the thing of there currently being a one year gap between original Japanese release and English Dub release in the US for Pokémon.

Netflix only has 12 eps but japan has already released 44 episodes now. Subs are available but you have to find them through unofficial means. Pokemon never provided official subs throughout the anime's history. I do recommend subs especially because the ost in the dub is near entirely replaced with subpar music. Also they have openinings and endings that the dub never showcases.
