Berkel dual speed automatic meat slicer - before restoration - mechanism

I bought this old Berkel meat slicer for restoring during the Winter for fun. Not just for making it look nice but also to make it mechanically sound. I find the mechanism to be mesmerizing. I believe it is a model 818 or 919. It’s built like a tank and should work like a clock at some point.

First trial of Skydio 2 KeyFrame in the dark forest

Downloaded the new update today, had to test the new features, I’ve done my first trial at the end of the day, in the forest, with many obstacles. Super impressed so far by the new feature. This will be super useful in areas with lots of obstacles, as long as we set enough Keyframes.

How did the restoration turn out? I just bought that exact same slicer tonight. I plan on doing a complete tear down and restoration. Everything seem to be in working order. It’s just really dirty and gummed up from being old. I’m also missing the belt. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks for the video. My machine's arm is not moving and the round belt came off and can't figure out how to put it back. Can u help?
Its all dismantled now… I am restoring it. Check for a manual online maybe?
The small belt slipped off of mine and i cant seem to figure out its path to put it back on. A drawing would help if anyone knows the answer.

How was the sync result with finger testing.....i use finger testing method in my RD 350B.... I sit on right side of bike and use my left hand 1st finger....into left carb venturi from airbox side......and 3rd finger nto right carb venturi....with my right hand free....i use it to move throttle....open /close....and adjust the cable...till i can feel both throttle bodies moving up and down in unison....i recheck again few times....wd throttle.wide open... Before doing this job i usually take out throttle cable....dismantle it completely and wash each cable with petrol ...and after drying it ,lube it with thinned out 2T oil....reassemble and do final sync of bodies.... Cheerio friends....love that blue smoke and smell.....more addictive that any known drug in the known universe....
That’s another method! With the video, I was able to visualize, frame by frame, the movement of the sliders which was helpful. Can’t wait to go back and feel the improvement!
@@jfparent695 what company carbs are u using....and what size of venturi...the ones that u are using are not the ones which were released with indian rd 350.....what about the ignition system....is it CB system or cdi type...or some after mkt set up...please provide details if possible....i hv put in an after market cdi system in rd by AUTO ESCORT... I have a 3 point hitch mount on the tractor that accept 2 in square tubes and the Apex Badland came with the 2 in. mount for the hitch. The battery is an old deep discharge battery, old but very reliable.

What a great spot to Ice skate! Some of the best times I had with my once little daughter were on skates.:) Will the Skydio software prevent the props from spinning up when you're in a Restricted zone? I was wondering if the software was like that used with the Mavic series.
I can understand why you were stressed and felt the need to follow, but the video would’ve been much better without you shuffling along in it. Must’ve been very slippery 😉
I know, I wanted a clean shot going in the other direction but unfortunately the S2 wanted to land due to low light so I couldn’t take another shot. It was just a test late on the same day of the update (4 Jan).

It let you take off at night?
At first it didn’t want to take off, I had to move to a spot with a bit more light and it did, after this first trial, I wanted to do a second one without being in the footage but it wanted to land due to lightning conditions, so I was really at its set limit.
Interesting to see it not bob and weave from point to point. I'm guessing that may be so because the cameras can't see anything to "avoid". And it's following the points as a breadcrumb trail via GPS. Before, normally, the drone wouldn't even allow it to be flown when it detects it being too dark. I wonder if the new Keyframe feature bypasses that particular safety feature.
No it doesn’t, initially it didn’t want to take off, I had to move to a place with a bit more light to take off. For the route, I kept it at a least 1 m from trees and branches to avoid the anti-collision system to kick in. In those lighting conditions, it probably doesn’t see the smaller branches.
I seen one RUclips that demonstrates the keys are set relative to launch, not to gps. In otherwords, it wasn't working if you're setting keys as you're walking with S2. That seems to be what that RUclips demonstrated, what is y'alls assessment?
@@batchboy999 Skydio has since told us that keyframes are not recorded GPS positions. They're more like visual snapshots. That's one reason why a lot of folks are reporting the drone sometimes being way off when flying the route.
@@batchboy999 The S2 was flying manually when I was setting the keyframes, my trial worked very good. I initially had issues for the take off because it was dark, thats all.

Yes, and I am glad I did, I use it much more than anticipated, especially in spaces with lots of obstacles.

RZ350 engine, not the RZ350RR engine. Here in Canada we had RZ350 up to 1990.
jf parent Thank you. How is the feeling? I have supposed that the rz350 engine is faster than tzr250 3xv engine.
Just curious what the life of the bike becomes is you use one of these year after year?
I don't know, I used the kit 3 years from time to time and the bike didn't show any sign of fatigue. The engine is way more solicited with the snow kit than intermediate riding during the summer, but Yamaha are pretty tough.

My project involves the transplantation of the engine on the chassis of the 350 rd tzr, swingarm of yamaha r6 2004 and un'anteriore of Kawasaki Nija 636 with triple trees and circle, in order to make more powerful the higher power ela sensitivity on driving, I still have some doubts about the rear suspension, these beautiful transformations can be achieved only with the chassis of tzr 125 true or equal to that of 250 or with the chassis of the aprilia 250, thank you for everything keep in touch

OK, This project is stored for the Winter but I have another TZR350 project in my house, I will make a video showing the engine mounts.
