As much as I loved Sara, I think the integrity of the show would have stayed in tact if they hadn't decided to bring her back. Season 3 had a weird feel to it as it was, but them killing her off was true to the whole "no one is safe" vibe they had with the show. And then in season four they were just pulling a lot of shit out of their asses with the whole Christina thing and then the brain tumor and then Sara being alive. It really kind of broke the quality.

It was filmed in a way that never made me believe it. Also 2016 sequel will prove that Michael did NOT die which I also never believed also because of how it was filmed.

Silver Mirai To be fair, Sara wasn't SUPPOSED to die that way. I'm sure fans would have been less livid had she had the proper send away. As a viewer, I felt cheated that I didn't even get a glimpse at the actress before her character was gone (given that Sarah Callies couldn't shoot it), so I understand their frustration. And let's not forget that Michael DID die. Even though it was the final episode, the writers still went through with it. and in Death Note, Light also died on the final episode, since you're comparing. So in all, I think the Prison Break writers did the best with what they could work with.
