Why not just set each button to send a note instead of a CC value?

Thx a lot for this video. I already watched it a hundred times! One question: Is it possible to program a bank for looping with the numbers 00 to 09? I tried it out and the first switch resembling number 00 doesnt work. Greetings

Would it be possible for me to press pedal 5 one time to launch a clip (say a drum loop) and then press it a second time to pause the loop? Play and pause are different buttons in ableton so basically want the “on” button press to activate the loop and the “off” to deactivate the loop

So you can only assign 18 pedals on ableton? i was hoping to have at least two banks to play with

Can i send this midi messages through the pedal-switch-kable? Or did i have to use the midi in and out? What Midi-Remote-Script i have to download. Can someone help me to bring that stuff working?

Hi I really appreciate the video. I am having trouble getting from the programming of the fcb1010 to having it be read by Ableton. When I am in the midi screen I am not getting input values or any response from the daw. Am I missing some step here?

Grateful for this. I was 4 years ago when I first needed it, and grateful again.

At least in live 11 you can use Midi notes instead of cc Messages, and you need only one per button, and it allows you to click in things. So with just one button you can turn stuff on and off, start and stop clips. Maybe things we're different six years ago, or maybe I missed the point of using CC messages instead of notes?

Your video just taught me how to get it working with Amplitube 5. I needed to set it so that buttons 1 thru 5 selects the presets, and buttons 6 thru 10 turns the stomp pedals on and off. It works perfectly now. Thanks a million.

i did everything as you did in the video but my fcb1010 doesnt seem to be sending any signal out at all. i verified my midi input with a midi signal from another instrument but when i try the 1010 i see nothing, ugh please help!

I did the programming as you explained however in Ableton the the mini commands are showing up as pitch bends in Ableton. Any idea what I did wrong?

Great video. I followed this and was able to program the buttons to toggle effects on and off in STL Amphub in ableton 11. I had a problem when I turned the fcb1010 off -it didn't hold the settings. I thought I must have done something wrong wrong so reprogrammed it and had the same issue. Has anyone else had this type of problem? Is there a battery somewhere on a board that needs replacing? 🤔

Wish I'd watched this video first. I watched 2-3 videos before this one. None of them explained properly the 6 and 7 buttons (which was one of the bits I was missing). Wasted hours scratching my head why I couldn't get a single CC to take (or why my expression pedals stopped working...I believe that was the suggestion of turning off 8 and 9).

Been running into an issue where it says I am conflicting with the previous mapping. I was able to set buttons 1 & 2 to trigger audio clips 1 & 2..But when I try setting it up for clip 3, it gives me that error and the option to overwrite.

Reset to Factory: Hold down 1 and 6 while powering on DONE. Turn off Direct Mode and Set Midi Channel: Hold ↓ while Turning On Press ↑ Press 1 Press ↑ to choose MIDI Channel Personal Choice: MIDI Channel 2 ↑ Again Hold ↓ for 3 secs DONE. The Hard Part Pedal 1. • Press Pedal 1 (or 2-10). • Hold ↓ • Press 1 to turn off • Hold 6 to activate • Hold 7 to activate • Press 6 ↑ • Set CC to 22 (or 23-31 depending on step) ↑ • 127 ↑ • 7 ↑ • CC to 22 (or 23-31 depending on step)↑ • CC 00 ↑ • Hold ↓ DONE for Pedal 1. Repeat the Hard Part For Each pedal. Press 2 and remember to Set CC to 23. Pedal 1's CC = 22 2's CC = 23 3's CC = 24 4's CC = 25 5's CC = 26 6's CC =27 7's CC =28 8's CC = 29 9's CC = 30 10's CC = 31 Good luck In ableton, Options > Preferences MIDI > Select however you're connecting the MIDI device as input/output and make sure REMOTE is ON.
