Hi guys,
on this channel I show you my experiments, projects and repairs in the areas of retro computing, gaming, photography, electronics, video etc.
Inspired by the great pioneers of the scene, I have now started my own project (yes, really late, but at least I started now!)
I hope you enjoy watching it and I will be happy if you give me feedback as to whether you liked it or whether it helped you with your own projects

Today I show you something completely different: this movie was made by painting directly on 35 mm film (blank film). After that it was copied using a classic film lab process on an optical printer with RGB lights. The music was created by me in the late 90s. Now we're having fun with the Commodore Bildschirmtext 606491 adapter! This device was used to connect the C64 or the C128 via phone to the Bildschirmtext system which was a german pre-internet online service. Usually you would connect via a special BTX terminal - or with your own home-based C64 BTX adapter! In the 80s this was crazy future stuff

Hi, i have a (pal) Nintendo 64, i live in the uk & ive recently bought a ntsc to pal region converter and some Japanese n64 games but im getting a black and white screen, why is this and can it be fixed so i can play the Japanese n64 games in colour? Thanks 👍
Hi Cliff, I got the same issue with my JP Games. The Adapter is working fine with the US NTSC Cartridge but NOT with JP Games. Seems like the ROMs have different Region Codes or some other technical differences that prevent these from running. Some propose to use another (newer) Display. Maybe this works? I think if it's not the adapter itself it could be the cables? Or some small differences in the US / JP NTSC Versions. If you find out more, please leave a comment :)

Hi, it's the ULTRA 64 SFX 64 V3 Universal Game Adaptor - have Fun!
Looks good. The power LED is held in by a small plastic clip, which is held in by the keyboard. If your clip is missing there is a 3D printable one on Thingiverse. Also, it looks like your upper row of arrow keys need rotated and rearranged so the key shape matches the other keys.
Hi, thank you for your comment! I’ll check the final C128 for the arrows. I remember I had some difficulties finding the right arrow keys during the reassembling process 😉but I thought I found the correct ones finally…

i never noticed all those years ago but commodore basic language was created by or based off of microsoft? wow so if coomodore had survived would probably have gone the same way as many others. swallowed up by microsoft
Maybe this has been resolved, but in case it hasn't have you tried running the drive outside the enclosure, attached directly as an IDE device? That would tell you if the problem is the drive or just the USB adapter board.

Hi there, i have that exact portable tv model, but its only stay on white screen, and doesnt try to tune any signal!, could be related to a internal fail?
if it's not a hardware fail maybe it could depend on your TV system? I'm in Germany which is a PAL 25fps region and my devices all work at PAL. In Germany there is no terrestrial TV signal any more, I always have to connect something via cable

yes you`re right. could really be better. e.g. near the RAM expansion slot. but it's easier on these old macs than on the modern ones which are glued together :)
Hey ich habe genau mir genau den gleichen Converter mit der japanischen kirby 64 Version gekauft. Bekomme es aber mit super mario64 zusammen nicht zum laufen. Woran liegt das?
Hi, auch bei mir laufen die JAP Games nicht. Es klappt nur mit dem US Game. Beide sind ja NTSC, aber es muss eine Art Region Code im ROM geben, im Netz habe ich festgestellt, dass diese Thematik anscheinend nicht final geklärt wurde. Correct me if I'm wrong 😉
Does the pal game run at 60hz speed?
the adapter converts ntsc games to pal. I’m here in a pal area (Germany / 50hz). the 60hz games run at a lower speed. Unfortunately I found Japan Games do not work. The adapter only works with US games 😉

hallo do you know this mac can run 1333Mhz up to 32gb total? it's only for 2009 late imac ^^

@@borislab8153 in case you try it just becarefull coz on amazon 50% of seller print 1333MHZ but in reality are 1600MHZ so don't work with imac late 2009 it's a sort of lottery (ofc crucial,samsung are ok, but are out of stock and pricless *8gb stick)
sry i tried on my imac late 2009 21.5 inch and dosn't work ;(;( only on 27 from late 2009 ;;( sry again ;(
This style is what I think a true mac should look like, too bad the plastic gets brittle over time.

Very cool! The machine seems to be called a lot of different things, including Lamda 8300. According to old-computers, its pretty much an upgraded Sinclair ZX-81 clone with almost all of the upgrades you'd want, built in already.

@@borislab8153 , I wish I knew more. Unfortunately, I'm no expert on the ZX81, and I only ever used tape for (slowly) loading software on mine. The dedicated Lambda 8300 subforum on sinclairzxworld is relatively active, though, and it might have some good info.

An Amiga500 is always nice. I have two in my collection. Both same revision. One I have kept stock, only with a mem upgrade. The other is upgraded with lots of goodies.
