The biggest scam is "Qualified Immunity" where cops have no accountability for their actions. Sure, I don't actually know anything directly about the Monmouth PD since I don't live within 1000 miles, but there are plenty of clearly meritorious claims of mistreatment by Monmouth police that were thrown out on the grounds of QI in the court records to make me think your police are just like everyone else's, corrupt, power mad, and completely unaccountable. Respect the cops? Sure as soon as they start respecting the citizens and holding their own "bad apples" accountable and stop promoting them so that they can spoil "the whole dam bunch" from their positions of complete unaccountability. Since Judges created QI from nothing and continually refresh it whenever someone tries to hold cops accountable, they need to be held accountable to the citizens. If you want an America that actually lives up to the promise they pretend is real, first we have to throw out the politicians that represent the property wealth interests that really run everything and replace them with people who actually do care. Then they need to hold the unconstitutional judges who again and again use QI to let the horribly corrupt officers off accountable as well. Everyone who has supported this anti-constitutional nonsense of QI in the courts should have to serve the sentences of the people they wrongly helped convict, and the damages that they prevented being paid out through QI from their own pockets. Let them live their "retirements" on the streets at the mercy of the people most affected by their crimes.

Other than the recent laws that have been passed in the last year really there’s been a lot of people who were arrested and not serving enough time for what they did that’s been going on for a few years but I also believe that all of this is stemming from the new law that Illinois passed this is why the catch and release stuff shouldn’t have been passed but we have an idiot for a state governor where I live you’re constantly hearing about people being shot every day I used to live in Macomb off and on for 20 years and I have never heard of McDonough county jail seeing 35 to 40 inmates that’s minor compared to where I live now I can’t tell you how many inmates the county I live in has seen

I predict that Illinois future, will see an increase in crime across the board, a surge of gun sales by law abiding citizens attempting to defend themselves from habitual criminals, and a judicial system that is still over-loaded and working overtime. Going soft on crime is a horrible solution, unless you're a criminal.

The Safe T Act will NOT make Illinois a better place to live. Wow.
