I like to build things with my hands. A long time ago I discover the cyclekarts and since then I have been in love with such a machine. I finally managed to start to build my own cyclekart and learn in the process. Here I will share my videos of my first build ever, " The Old 16" I hope you enjoy, and motivates you to start building your own cyclekart.
Cyclekart wooden body - Part 8
Making the wooden body was a bit of a challenge. Probably not the best option for all the vibrations this body will go through but I think it came out alright. I did not film every detail on this one but I did get enough information for you to see. Thanks for watching my videos, that motivates me to keep working and learning with this project.

Cyclekart - Changes Made From Original Plan - part 7

Friends, I felt the need to show you some of the changes I made since I started this cyclecart build. I thought that these changes were necessary in order to improve the center of gravity by dropping the seat as low as possible. This changes are in relation to video number 2 & 3 bellow. ruclips.net/video/_A_qXWfLNYk/видео.html ruclips.net/video/S9-1cDKQ-9M/видео.html Changes: 1- The engine base...

I am going to try to replicate the brake handle and the shift lever as close as possible to the model kart. Enjoy. #cyclekart #gokart #carros #212cc #garagebuilt #handmade #diy #hobby #shifters #smallengine #bikewheel #gasolina #ciclokart #velokart

I got into welding bc of you! Thanks so much! I never got to thank you properly so here you go sir!
@JoeMama-ib2st Thank you!! I'm happy for you! This is a great way to have fun and be creative. Enjoy
You have done a very good job of building your extremely breath car with minimalist equipment, I am truly envious of your talent. How long did it take you?
@jamesrickerby2756 thank you. It took me a little over 2 years to its current state. I still have a few finishing details to do to call it complete.
Wonderfull

I'm struggling to decide how tall I want mine. Yours is quite tall and it doesn't look too bad, thing is mine is a Lotus Seven. Not exactly a Cyclekart but it's my taste
@abridgingpanda7372 Yes, I tried to put my seat as low as possible, but since it's a low-speed cart, it's fine. You could make your axles a little wider if you think it's too high. Lotus 7 it's a nice one.
Great job Santos. So good to see people do there own work. Cheers from Australia.
@johnlawrence5229 Thank you
I LOVE YOU!❤

really good work , well done Sir :)
@@DarrenMalin thank you
Looking great! Lots of ideas that I can use on the one I am going to build!
@@NotJustSawdust Thank you.
It's going to be so cool when it's done!
@christianfolkner yes, i can't wait myself, slowly getting there.
@@santosiglesias5556 btw does it have full rear and front suspension?
@@christianfolkner yes it does
nice. 👍 i have a question, what did you use for wheels? thank you for showing us
Totally dig the out of the box thinking yet not “breaking” HP guidelines. Good stuff.
@@timsimpson4579 thank you
That is a good idea on how to get rear working suspension too . Are you driving just the one wheel and the forward axle with sprockets just driven by the rear wheels when moving ? Is one sprocket or both going to free wheel ? Malcolm New Zealand
@pinkfloyd-1545 Thank you. Yes, it turns better with just one wheel connected, I may install a differential in the future. The sprockets will be driven by the wheels when moving they are both free wheeling now.
Great looking seat!
@@sacredhole thank you
@@santosiglesias5556I love that you show how to build one, truly an inspiration!
Looking good , Santos .
Thank you!!
i can't wait to see it drive! it'll be so cool!
very soon
Muito bom seu trabalho, parabéns ❤

👏👏🤘💪😊
Yes! It looks exactly right : )
It's so close...
@Del350K4 yes, I'm getting there
My goodness - you really are very close to completing this vehicle!
@Del350K4 yes, the biggest thing is the seat
@@santosiglesias5556 You're working to a high standard so you can't expect yourself to progress very quickly : )
@@santosiglesias5556get some leather fabric/of your choosing with a piece of plywood for the seat (bottom) and some foam for the seat and tighten it with a staple gun, make sure to get the right measurements, one for the back and one for the bottom. Hope this helps a bit
This stage nicely underlines the progress you've made.
I'm not sure what I admire more, your devotion to machinist accuracy or OSHA safety. Both are exemplary!
Wow! The finished assembly looks wonderful, very evocative of the period your cyclekart represents. There's a particular elegance in your interpretation of the design : )
@@Del350K4 thank you
Nice 👍🏻
Goid work - it should be a good three hundred years till those ratchet teeth wear out. It's an elegant arrangement too. Let's not try to pretend that doesn't matter!
Really impressive work. Put "cyclekart" somewhere in the title so that we can find it in search!
@@hadlock Thank you, I didn't think about that.
Que chida te va quedando
@@FlorIglesias-i8p si ya va poco me falta.
Great job! the levers are exactly the same as on vintage cars! I admire your work and love your channel!
@@Mitch196 Thank you!!
Hello Santos, I admire your work and ideas. I am building a similar cyclekart and hope I can copy your brake lever design. Do you have drawings you can share of this?
I'd also like drawings, can you put them in the description?
@@ronulbrich thank you! I did not make any drawings for this one. I used pictures of the model kart as reference.
@@santosiglesias5556 Thank you for your reply. I anticipated you didn't have any drawings. Most of my work is done in the same manner. Keep up the awesome work and sharing it like you are so we can all be inspired.
@ronulbrich you're very welcome, and good luck with your cyclekart build
Excelente trabajo Amigo, todo muy bien hecho felicidades 🎉
@@rafaelmorales7092 mucha gracias 🙂

Why so many?
Just trying to make it look as close to the model. I made a few changes to it
excellent craftmanship
Thank you
why dont you just weld the two nuts to hols the swivel firm.
Thanks for your input. I might do that.
Nice work, especially considering the rudimentary tools you have available. This is going to be soooo heavy though. Looking forward to see this kart completed.
Yes, it's already heavy, but it'll be worth it once completed .
Why not 90°?
Kingpin inclination
It's looking good - isn't it great to see some progress during a long project?
Yes, it's a good feeling
