WAQF, Right or Wrong? | The Economic Impact of Waqfs on Muslim Entrepreneurs Explained
Explore the impact of Waqfs on Muslim entrepreneurs and why it may have hindered business success.
▶️In this video, we delve into the economic consequences of Family Waqfs under Islamic inheritance laws and how it limited entrepreneurial opportunities for Muslims. We also compare the success of Khojas and Memons who bypassed these laws to thrive in modern business.

      Some Parsis indeed did work closely with the British on opium trade. But not all did. And no Hindu or Jain entrepreneur did. Read detailed research by global and Indian researchers on the subject from the enclosed link on why Hindus and Jains succeeded vs Muslims. And why Muslims did not do well beyond trading enterprises anywhere in the Middle East too. Also what about 1500-1800 when Hindus and Jains dominated business. There were no British then. You will shortly get their stories too on this channel. Also why Khojas, Bohras and Memons continued to dominate business vs other Muslims despite being 0.4 percent of Muslim population. Why other Muslims failed? Sorry this channel is for serious conversation on such topics and not ignorant face buried in the sand type people who make sweeping generalisations.

      Correct! Actually even going up to Peshawar. part of Muslim families stayed behind in UP and the other part migrated to Pakistan, having the best of both worlds. But to be fair, many ordinary Muslims who migrated lost their belongings in India.....but they were given the property of Hindus who had left under the Enemy Property Act. India too had the same act but Gandhi resisted/protested when the properties of Muslims who left India was being handed over to Hindu refugees.

    Thanks for info Sir interesting... It should also be noted that Balochistan and NWFP were not given the status of the governor's province until very late.. And they had tribal society... Ralph Griffith was first governor of NWFP in 1932 and even Legislative Council was established there very late and so were political parties.. It also hindered economic development. Chelmsford reforms of 1919 were neglected in these provinces.

    Sir Aga Khan had even proposed to make Arabic as state language of Pakistan.. Jinnah at least should be admired for choosing Indian language like Urdu as state language. Otherwise Pakistan may have been a member of Arab League by now.

    • @kaafirnama

      Correction - Moroccans are largely Arabs (and some Berbers). Somalis speak Somali… very few Somalis speak Arabic. Even today- it was less 50 years back. Arab league was a Muslim grouping among others that came up post 1945… and had little to no political significance or solidarity. All Arab league nations including the biggest Arab country - Egypt - have been thrown out of the league from time to time. The Saudi run OIC was relatively powerful since it was backed by Saudi oil revenues..Pakistan could not do much with OIC.. what would they have done with Arab league?

      @kaafirnama Месяц назад

      You are correct on the Portuguese conversion part… it was brutal..I have closely studied Goan history (descend from that state)…only small point I want to add is Mughals did no such thing… they never fought against any colonial power. Portuguese and French lost to the British on the Indian Ocean…. A control that the Anglo Saxons continue to maintain with the US navy. The handover officially happened around 1950 when the British went bankrupt post the Second World War..
