Oh my, you're so pretty. I love your front teeth. Cute😊
Your videos are amazing 💕🔥
A nurse recently assaulted me, very scared to go back and I have to go back to the same hospital. Long story short, she had zero bedside manners
Hi Cherise, I'm so sorry you went through that. Have you reported them?
This is helpful. Did u also get only one ultrasound? Im in second trimester but clinic only booked one for 22 weeks.
Hi Chante! I did get one ultrasound through the government but I did 2x privately :)
Yho Mommie thnx for this i needed this im a first time mom
I'm glad to hear it ☺️
This is a very informative video. Thank you ❤
Thank you for watching! 😊
I am so afraid of bathing considering the crazy bleeding and fluids of child labour! Staying clean important to avoid infections, etc. The cleaning supplies tip is great! Never thought of it
I was exactly the same! Thank you for watching 😊
Thank you for your videos! Learning so much! Just want to ask why you need to take a T shirt dress for birth? Do they not supply a gown for theatre? My first pregnancy and giving birth in the middle of winter. Thank you 😇
Hello, thanks for watching! I'm not sure about theatre in terms of c-sections but they definitely don't provide a gown in the normal labour ward. Hope this helps!
Your content is so informative, your voice is so calm and re assuring 🥹❤️ Thank you for sharing your experiences with us .
Thank you for watching! 😊
My experience is similar. I went the private midwife tour till 28 weeks then I had preeclampsia and had to give birth at a public hospital. My overall experience was positive. Food was decent, stuff was nice too. Me and baby came out in good health.
Hello! I'm so glad to hear you also had an overall positive experience🌸 it can be disheartening when things don't work out the way you initially planned but it's wonderful when it all works out in the end. Congratulations on your baby❤️
This video helped me so much❤. Just shared it with a friend expecting.
Aww thank you so much. I'm so glad it helped you 😘 Congratulations on your friend's pregnancy as well!
This is one of my favorite hospital bag videos. ❤️
Thank you!!!
Hey Layla, after giving birth do the nurses give your baby a bath because I don't want them to do that? How long do you stay in the hospital after giving birth?
Hi there! In government hospitals, they generally don't. If I were you I would just double check because it's something you really want but generally you do a lot yourself in government hospitals 🌷Neither of my babies had a bath in the hospital. Good luck and congratulations ❤️
@@laylaweekly alright , thank you ❤️😊
OMG the list really helped a lot❤
Thank you for watching! ❤️
Hi which hospital you gave bith at please reply soon

This is so helpful❤🙏🏼
Hey Mommie, where did you buy the ball?
Hi friend, thanks for watching ❤️ I think that one was from Game but I've seen them at Pep Home as well for much cheaper 🙏
I just watched this omG I’m so scared of these pains. I’m delivering anytime soon from now
Hi there, congratulations on your pregnancy! ❤️ The only thing that helped was praying through it! You got this😁
Thank you 🤗
Thank you for watching!
Hi there, I hope you are well. Just letting you know I love your content. Please don't stop posting. And consider opening an Instagram page. I just recommended your page on my Instagram. Cheers and all the best. 🎉🎉
Sis you're doing the Lord's work Thank you for this video and the downloadable list I'm newly pregnant and I've been binging pregnancy content as one does when they just find out they are pregnant. I'm having my second baby after 10 years (yes, 10 years) Back then I had my grandmother and all the women in my family to guide me as it was my first so it's a blare and now I'm clueless and all alone as I'm a grown woman now so I'm doing all the researching and preparing by myself and your videos have been so helpful Thank you
Hi there! Thank you so much for watching and congratulations on your new baby! ❤️ I'm glad my videos have helped you. I will post new content soon 🎉🎉
Love how you have broken down the list. Super helpful for some of us who are a bit disorganized
Hello ❤️ Thank you so much watching, I'm glad you found my list helpful!
What's the name of the hospital?
Hello, thanks for watching! This was at Pretoria West Hospital. They were amazing 🌹
Thanks for video. Did they ask you if you wanted to keep your placenta?
Hi, thanks for watching 💐 No, I’m not sure if they would allow it but it would be best to ask your local clinic 💃🏻
Hello Layla where can i get yhe plastic drawers?
Hi Amanda! Thanks for watching❤️ The trolley with drawers I got from takealot for R700 but I’ve seen them at all the China shops as well 😊
Good day Miss Layla. Im a new mom and new to the government hospital procedures. I wanted to know if you got any form of painkillers to lessen the pain of labor or did you have to endure all the pain through till the end?
Hi Mischka! Thanks for watching ❤️ Unfortunately pain medicine like epidurals are not given unless medically necessary. I didn’t receive any other form of pain medicine but I’ve seen some other did get general pain killers when they ask such as panado 😅
Does the hospital register the baby? if not Id love to hear about your experience about registering the baby.
Hi Natasha! Thanks for watching ❤️ I’ll make a video about my registration process because mine was a bit different but if you have your documents in place (ID and father’s ID) most government hospitals have a home affairs in hospital to register the birth immediately. Just note they are usually only open Monday to Friday 😊
@@laylaweekly thank you
Did they give you a bag at the hospital?
No, government hospital don’t give nappy bags 💐
So helpful ,thank you for this ❤.sometimes stuff just be all over your head but this is definitely a needed pointer
Thanks for watching Nokuthaba! I’m glad my pointers could help you ❤️
I watched this before giving birth in a public hospital and this video helped me a lot. 😊 Thank you. My experience was amazing
That’s wonderful news! I’m glad my video helped you❤️ Congratulations on your little one 🤗
Thanks very informative and what about rumours saying that the nurses can switch babies how true is that 😢
Hi there, I’m my honest opinion I think it would be very difficult to switch babies because in most cases your baby is with you from birth until you leave. The government hospitals are very pro mom and baby time and that you take of baby yourself. If for whatever reason your baby needs to go somewhere (like my baby went to the NICU for a day) and it’s still a fear you have I can only suggest to pray over your baby and let God protect him from harm when you’re not around. Our God can do anything! The hospitals are very strict though and for that reason limit visitors and interactions with baby 😊
You’re a breathe of fresh air Layla, may you continue to be blessed! Thank you for all the useful, considerate and kind tips/perspectives.
Thank you so much for you kind comment❤️
At 36 weeks I feel like my bag is not packed at all...
Good luck with your birth! ❤️ This is a very detailed list and a lot of items are for practical comfort. Don’t worry about not being able to get everything! Do what will work for you 💐
Man, getting heart palpitations knowing I'm 7 months and will only go to a clinic this coming week. Hoping all the doctors' information (did appointments with a GP, met with an obstetrician and did my anatomy scan at 5 months) will make them take it easy on me. Planning to take everything through. Detailed, informative and great video maam.
Thank you so much friend! As long as you take everything with and follow their lead, I’m sure you’ll be perfectly fine❤️ They will appreciate all the info and records, just don’t be pushy about it. I’ll pray for a positive experience😁 Congratulations on your pregnancy 💐
Thank God I bumped in your videos. I am a first time mom and due September and this is really helping. I’m definitely going to get all these for my hospital bag. ❤❤❤
Hi friend! Thank you so much for watching❤️ Congratulations with your pregnancy, I’ll pray for a positive experience💐 This list is very detailed and if you have a quick delivery you probably won’t need everything BUT it’s always better to be prepared and up to you to create a positive experience😁
Thank you so much for this list, you are literally a life-saver.Definitely going to use it for my imminent hospital visit. And thank you for making this video,to help all the sisters out there including myself. 🤞🙏🙏
You are most welcome! I pray that you’ll have a positive experience and congratulations on your little one ❤️❤️
your hospital should provide most of this stuff as far as i’m concerned
In an ideal world, yes. But unfortunately they don’t and until they do, we need to improvise and make the best of the situation to be comfortable and create a good experience in a public hospital facility 💪🏼
Congratulations 🎊 🎊
Loved this vedio and thank you so much for the list😊
You’re most welcome 🌸
I'm 31 weeks now, so excited to start buying all these baby things ❤
