Film Study: Fixing the Falcons Rushing Attack
My opinions on what could fix the Falcons run game. Ironically our last opponent, the Carolina Panthers, had some of the answers I was looking for:
1) Include more inside run plays. Inside zone, trap, power, etc.
2) Run with 11 personnel
3) Trust the back to use his vision in forward-facing plays (downhill/inside runs).

Finally Bijan!
Great breakdown. Hopefully the offense can build on that last drive and carry that over to sunday night.
Go Eagles 🏈
Why is it called “wide 9”?
It'll only make sense if you are familiar with technique/alingment numbering system (you have to know the basic techniques to know how the numbers chanhe when it comes to the tight end. Old school numbering system= head up on the tight end is a 6 technique, but instead of calling inside shade on TE a 5i, it's known as a 7 technique. And instead of calling the outside shade of a TE a 7 technique, it's called a 9 technique. So, the long n short is, it's called a wide 9 because rather there is a tight end or not, the defensive end is set up futher away from the offensive tackle, as if he was on the outside should of a TE (9 tech) instead of closer to the outside shoulder of the offensive tackle (5 tech).

Best Kyren breakdown on youtube great objective coverage!!
Refreshingly accurate and to the point. He ignores the lure of talking about personalities and sticks to actual football. I would not have complained if he tweaked McAfree though.
Short, to the point, good analysis, subbed!
Once Chris Jones wraps you up, you are going down.
All facts 💯
Turn up falcons
FU Hunt
Good stuff
Very insightful, Great commentary 👍👍
Outstanding presentation
Thanks for a great analysis. I thought Wilks was scapegoated. It's not like the D lost the damn game. And they played well enough and the D schemes were good enough to get them to the dance in the first place. WTF? The game was literally dead even at the end of regulation and could have gone either way. SF's defensive schemes worked for the most part. One or two plays go different on offense OR defense for them and they're the champs. Missed PAT, anyone?
Blocked pat is different than a miss tbf yes it goes down as a miss we just made a great play
Burford blowing blocks, Greenlaw tearing his Achilles, missed PAT, muffed punt...
Agreed. The defense did very well this game and all season. There were questionable strategies used here and there, but you could spread blame all around. My next 2 videos will focus on Shanahan's role.
These games are scripted bro wake up to the fakery God bless.
I hope sf 49ers dont make this mistake and stick with run games, screens and quick outs
the biggest thing that’s stands out to me when i watch him play is actually his willingness to block, specifically in blitz pickup. too often we see backs attempt to cut block and end up whiffing entirely, where Kyren is more than willing to take anybody heads up, stand them up, and then kick them out of the club; definitely works with what you said about low center of gravity… great breakdown coach, thank you very much!
That's a great point! I didn't think of that. It's a lost art in today's NFL......sometimes you'll see teams take out their starting back in those situations because he's not a good blocker, and it can tip the hand to the defense that a pass is coming. When you have a guy like that, it can help with the gameplan. Thanks for your comment!
I was waiting for this! Loved the thorough feedback!
Thanks so much for your support! As always 😊 And yeah I tried to be thorough without drawing too much this time.
He did a great job at Alt, hope he continues in Duvall county
Yep, I will definitely miss him. But their personnel down there fits his scheme. He will be just as successful.
This guy is special
He is! Very productive and underrated player.
Phenomenal analysis, easily understandable even by people who aren't very familiar with football on a more technical level. Helps me explain the game to my friends. Thank you for your incredible work!
5:42 Cam Taylor-Britt is in a zone. My apologies, I was tired 😂
Looks like a safety to me. When scoring if any part of the ball touches the endzone white paint then it counts as a TD, same rule should apply for a safety.
Nah, that was close tho
nice breakdown, keep it up
Preciate it ❤
This song is incredibly gay
good shit lil nigga that’s how you play de
Must be new to call the DE an “EDGE” something weird I can’t agree with lol
You call him an EDGE because he can either be a traditional defensive end, an outside linebacker, or a combo of both. Depends on the scheme….That word basically brings in all players who play the end of the LOS.
Good shit boy
That's wild 😂
That’s a safety.
Not quite
Great show!! Psalms 62: Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. My salvation and my honor depend on God ; he is my mighty rock, my refuge. God bless! Jesus is the way ✝🤍
Great breakdown!
You was right about this guy being a great addition to the defense
Key signing!
that looks like abington even tho it's not
Welcome to block C 🙌
Ya um he fumbled great job reversing field but keep that ball tucked
Fair criticism. But the athleticism is there, thats why I showed this. More to come in his highlight video soon.
I was there. It had been raining the ball was wet and it slipped out
That's an impressive run, but not a whole lot of quarterbacking going on
He's not playing QB for UConn Victor Rosa was a QB in high school too
He’s been recruited as a WR for UConn. Tremendous athlete with after burners, and that’s what’s gon get him that bread 💵
@@VilareT118thank you for the clarification
He an ATH and it's always good to have QB experience at HS level for gadget plays. After watching his tape I'm reminded of watching Devontae Houston's HS tape a few years ago. He was undersized and under-recruited too and now he's avg 7 ypc. Thank you to all the schools who pass on these guys 👏🏼
@@coachholloway8368i am from aiken and have watched him, he only was starting qb to run the ball. He’s really a wr.
Good stuff coach, i hope you get many more views
Really good breakdown! Hoping Ridder can improve this season…Looking forward to more from you
Preciate it. More will come with availability!
I think with run heavy teams emerging, there are going to have to be tighter splits that emerge
Only the most disciplined run stopping teams will be able to play with us this season
Minnesota and New Orleans the best ones I seen on the schedule. I’ll take it.
@@coachholloway8368 we can run the ball on New Orleans, I feel like we can be competitive with Minnesota
Get Em 🐅 Go Clemson
Great video my brotha
Hes going to be great. Cant wait for the season to start. Nice video man
Preciate it! And yeah, can’t wait!!
Every breakdown I see of Ridder is from his very 1st start in the NFL but not the 4th start. His 1st start was his worst statistical game. His last 3 starts if you take away the 1st start his QB rating is like top 10.....and that's not to say he is a top 10 QB.... It's just to say he did make drastic improvements from game 1 to game.
