I was 10 years old when I attended this event @ the LA Coliseum with my cousins. We lived right down the block near Manual Arts High School and USC in the heart of South Central LA. It was really good seeing brothers and sisters coming together in commemoration of the 7th year following the Watts riots. For me personally it was the Staples singers, and Isaac Hayes that stood out the most although Con Funk Shun then known as Project Soul were backing Rufus Thomas were TIGHT!
