yamaha should have put e-start, stator for light and charging and it will be a world market top sales
It's always shit me how someone else tries to dictate how others use something. The 450 is a great all round bike for me. You know why? Because I like it! End of story. Bikes are meant to be fun. 99% of people buy the 450 because it thrills them. If riding it out of their comfort zone or ability give them the thrill they desire. Then the 450 is perfect. Do a video on how riding an underpowered bike can be more dangerous then riding an over powered one off road.
I highly recommend a G2 thottle tamer
bro tries every excuse instead of admitting he is stuck in time
Kick start forever
I am from the future. This guy spends the rest of his days on a KTM diagnosing electronics failures with a frustrating cell phone app.
This isn't Kuhtomb's first dance with bankruptcy 🤷♂️
@@mikeandrews1899 They still on the process of making it through. As of know they are giving MV Augusta back to the Italians and stop racing almost entirely
@roberturmosi-dirtbike-atv they went bankrupt in 1991
I’m a vet rider and just sold my yz450f and now ride a 22 yz250f… best decision ever !!
You just had to wear you squeaky ass boots didn't you? You couldn't have taken those off and set them aside while you create this video. Listening to those squeak every time you move 2mm is so god dam annoying.
please save kTm
You have always the possibility to ride slower ! If you have a ferrari it doesn’t mean you will drive it at 300kmh all the time!
It's hard for me to get too excited. Yamaha makes great bikes but they have refused to give the enduro market what we've wanted for so long, I'd rather support the manufacturers who have.
@@kylecooper1790 Good point there!
Great video. Also, if you have more than one bike, it changes the decision. I already have an open class 4T for faster terrain so I went with the W for hard enduro and long enduros. PDS is great for areas that get a ton of water as it just reduces service requirements on linkage bearings and not getting hung up on rocks. I don't think the more/less experienced factor is a major aspect of choosing the right bike in a 300. If someone is that new, a Beta 200 is probably a better choice anyhow :)
cant listen because im watching at work lol. where in ocala is this? :)
@@gabes9998 Ocala national forest, beautiful with work…😂
250f is more than enough off road
You definitely should have stayed out in front of him while riding. I understand your frustrations. When you have a slower rider that stops a lot on hill climbs, it completely screws you and everyone else behind you. It's been years since I've had a dirt bike and rode Brushy Mountain, but have been getting the itch to buy another one and get up there again in 2025. Like another person commented.... i rode 450 moto x bikes up there all the time, but i had a Rekluse auto clutch in my bike to make the hard single track more manageable. lol
The problem was he know where to go most of the time but it was all good I had a good time out there over all. Far as making your ride more conformable with the Rekluse agree 100%
Some years ago, when I was a much less experienced rider, a buddy of let me try his "enduro-ized" YZ450. About 50yards down the trail, I hit the powerband, the rear tire bit into something on the trail.... At that moment the bike launched fully off the ground and across the trail. Luckily there had been some logging going on and they had stacked cleaned tree trunks parallel to the trail on the opposite side. Somehow I managed to stay on the bike and ride it down those stacked trunks and come out upright. I will never forget that power hit, I never felt any bike like it. On another note, you built a gorgeous dirt bike, this one is something special 👍 Hope you have a great time in Europe.
@@Ingloriousingletrack that’s exactly what I’m talking about you experienced it first hand! Luckily you didn’t get hurt. Thank you sir we having a good time here. Happy holidays
Yamaha all the way for me 👍🏻
These bike are game changers in my opinion. I currently have a 2023 WR450F, and my son has a 2023 WR250F. These are the best four stroke dirt bikes I have ever ridden. I have owned many. The 250 especially is fantastic.
There is no better feeling than being scared ripping through the woods on a big bore dirt bike while smiling ear to ear..
A 450 isn’t for a rider that just wants one to say they have one all the 450 will hurt you you have to be strong not just in your mouth some of the 250 are stout bikes as well just my opinion
Most riders would be faster and safer on a 250 without a doubt.
😂😂😂😂😂😂what a maroon
My son had 2018 RMZ450 which is a milder 450, but I didn't try it much, scared me. One advantage is by not riding wide open always, the 450 will hold up better long term, than perhaps 250f. I like my 23 yz250x. You will be back, just a matter of time.
lol I got that process problem too and it started around 45years old!
Ford did not take the government bailout.
In September 2009, the Department of Energy issued a $5.9 billion loan to the Ford Motor Company to upgrade 13 facilities in Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, New York, and Ohio.
I just bought a 2025 WR 250f i dont have the ability for a 450
Fine machine you got!
@roberturmosi-dirtbike-atv thanks. I think it was a good choice. It rides incredible.
Most riders don't. 450s are awesome bikes when you have the space and skill but a majority of riders can't get anywhere close to the potential of smaller CC bikes to begin with, so the extra displacement just serves as a bit of extra fun rather than something that'll make you faster. And the bigger 4Ts wear you out a lot quicker and makes a tired whiskey throttle potentially really dangerous. You're smarter for going with a 250 and you'll end up as a better rider long term.
@@BlessureK all great points and my thoughts exactly!
@@OdysseyOffroad 🥞
I meant so say my KTM XCF-W. I put in a aftermarket ECU so I can pick different fuel maps which I can control power delivery. I like you and your videos brother.
Those aftermarket ECU can make a huge improvement over the stock set up. That's the way to go on those bikes. Thank you!
She’s a Beast. Hold on to her tight bro. A raging Bull. That’s how my 2024 KTM 450 XW-F runs like. I like a 250 for tight mountain single track but I like 5he 450 for kickin some 2-track Ass!
I have a 450fx, it rocks. I'm not a hard enduro guy, fast flowing trails is my game. Corners come up quick.
I'm the same. I have a wr 450 and I prefer to ride the fire and boundary trails over the single tracks
Nooooo! Hydraulic clutches suck! No feel no feedback... Anybody who rides supermoto will understand. FYI KTMs are garbage... Biggest piece of shit in the woods!
holy f*** for a second there I didn't think you're going to get it out of first gear
I have been watching your channel and you have lots of upgrades, but have you tried HITLIS? it makes the power more lineal
@@SirValak That’s what I heard but no I haven’t try that one yet
Get a freight train package from BeRad and wake that 250 up . With low end grunt and no hesitation and screaming in the top end that YZ will be a screamer
Sorry but i 100% disagree with you. Advanced electronics, phone blue tooth connection and power this and fancy that never made a single rider a better rider. Not once. If your slow and spend all that extra money you will still be slow. If your super fast, you will still be super fast. I see so many people come up against something difficult and instead of saying "i will do this and work through this till it is easy" they instead say "i need to buy an easy and comfortable bike that will just make me good without learning any skills". No great rider ever got great because he bought an fancy bike, but because he burned a small citys worth of gas riding what ever bike he had.😂
Kick
Adjust the mechanical power valve adjust timing adjust carburetor. Panthera e start. Magura hydraulic clutch. In the end still cheaper than a ktm and more reliable I bet. If you want a hard enduro bike convert it.
competition hard enduro -> EFI hobby hard enduro -> carb dirt bike for general FUN -> YZ250 tbi ktm and alike feel like electric bikes, not that much fun (but better for competition) fun hard enduro is with Sherco, Beta, Rieju... hard enduro carb fun YZ250X for GNCC only, not hard enduro YZ250 just for fun - I have it and it's pure fun (I had Sherco 300, tried 300 tbi...) I'll buy a bike for hard enduro again, maybe Beta 300RR Race and a WR450F to feel the power of the 4-stroke in fire roads (YZ450F too hard and responsive) YZ250 is very nice with a 11oz flywheel weight I'd buy YZ250X but not availabe in Europe I had YZ125 before and miss it a lot, pure fun
If your bike overheats you're not runnin it fast enough. 🏆
German government? KTM has been in "Germany" only between 1938 and 1945, my friend :)
Wanabi rider. No one sellz a YZ that’s blasphemy
Made a yz into a 14k bike, if your gunna throw money away, atleast do it on something that’ll be fast!😂
Kick start is a complete non-issue. The bike makes good power but it's just not "insane". It's fun and responsive. KTMs are muted and slow feeling in comparison. Sounds like you need to invest in Rider Mod before you do anything else...
The old school two stroke engines has a "hit" when the power valves open which isn't good for consistent traction That's where KTM linear power wins over the YZ climing up on a hill. If you follow the channel we build this bike in to a fast fun bike but most off those mods get removed due to a sale
@@roberturmosi-dirtbike-atvbut hitlis power valve. No need to buy a whole other bike😂 …dirtbike media done messed everyone’s head up by saying “linear power” in every other sentence.
Thanks for the info Max!
I know it's en vogue to rag on KTM at the moment, but don't kid yourselves, the Austrian 2-strokes will run circles around the YZ in all aspects. I went the YZ-250X route for a few years. Fun and capable bike in certain conditions, but no where nearly as well rounded or refined as the Austrian bikes.
Good luck with your sale.Ihave been trying to sell my 250x for 4 months now with no luck.
I'm in the same boat! People admire this bike so much but for some reasons nobody's buying it, wandering why...
@@roberturmosi-dirtbike-atvprobably waiting for 300x lol. They definitely aren’t waiting to buy a ktm. Who wants to hunt for parts that were only available for 4-5 consecutive years? Yamaha parts availability is unmatched by any other company. 😂
I’ll buy that beautiful blue beast.
there's no doubt is a great bike, however is no hard enduro bike, 0 or 1 power nothing between, good for flat dry track if you gonna bring it to hard enduro trail you will never find grip, Secondly how much you spend for upgrades and is still not right, lack of electric starter is a deal breaker, ktm 250exc 2014 -17 has everything in it, Japanese don't listen what customers have to say, unfortunately another lost opportunity
I read that Yamaha is considering making a 300CC 2 Stroke Enduro Version soon. It is their time to shine again since KTM is going bankrupt or is already there. Man I can't wait for an enduro version of the YZ!
Supposedly the X was the Enduro version. I really hope there is. YZ300X. I also really hope it isn't the parts bin engineering of the last decade or more on the 2-stroke models. Yamaha has an opening here. Can they make it a hit, or another miss?
@@adaycjanother miss? What did they miss on?
@@gumpycognac4505 You missed my accusation of parts bin engineering? It is parts bin engineering of the entire 2 stroke cross country line. Here are the swing and a miss... No e-start. No 6th. No 300cc. No hydro clutch, meh brakes, and a puny 1.8 gal tank. I'll skip the efi it really should have because people are too close minded. Really all they did was put a 18 inch rear on a MX bike with softer suspension. Anyone could just do that to an MX bike. I want to go to a hare scramble, or enduro race and see more than 10% blue and more than 1% Blue 2-strokes. Yamaha can, and does make great machines. I've owned many. Their 2 stroke enduro bikes are just new vintage bikes.
@@adaycj lower compression head, kyb SSS suspension right out the box, different power valve setup, different pipe, different jetting, different timing, different ecu tuning, different 3,4,5th gear. I own one and have no problem getting on the podium in Louisiana hair scrambles 🤷🏼.
Unsubscribe.
BTW. I ride KTM. You are correct. Yamaha = Vibration. I like kick start too. KTM IS good in the mountains. Expensive yes. But worth it!
