Jeff Buckley -- When The Levee Breaks (Led zeppelin cover)
Просмотров 264 тыс.12 лет назад
I am unable to find this song on RUclips and I have decided to upload it myself. Originally written by the blues duo Kansas Joe McCoy and Memphis Minnie this song has been rearranged by Led Zeppelin and included in the album `Led Zeppelin IV' (1971). This is the Jeff Buckley version included on the so-called Rarities from NYC (that contains some songs recorded on tape and never released) in 199...
[Ulisse] Ecco a chi assomigliano i politici italiani

It's not Led Zeppelin cover, of course😊 The song was written and recorded by Kansas Joe & Memphis Minnie in 1929.
God's honest truth this sounds bad except for the music 😂😂 it just isn't it lmao
Where the fuck did this cover originate? Holy fuck.
I always thought 'New Year's Prayer' sounded a bit like 'When The Levee Breaks,' at least in terms of atmosphere. I guess it was indeed inspired by that song. I love it.
AMAZING! THANKS FOR UPLOADING IT! ❤
How I wish there was a video of this performance, Jeff is Page/Plant at the same time
Just fantastic
Awesome
when…
I DID NOT KNOW THIS EXISTED WHAT HOW
love you forever Jeff
🤤🤙😹🤘 💌 22:11-23 🥳🎉🎊
The drummer and guitarist don’t get enough credit.
🔥
wow
Wow I only just found this, I can feel how much Led Zep inspired Jeff, beautiful x
It's ordained that the brightest stars are burnt away long before their glow fades out.
It’s an insanely good cover….. there is a few interesting facts about this recording also
do tell!!!
Why don't you tell?
@@cartuchodetinta9581 Sorry ! He apparently layed down every single part of this song himself. By that I mean Drums : Buckley , Bass : Buckley and so on and so on ! :)
@@rustal9485jesus
Not a Led Zeppelin cover
I read about this guy in Spin magazine that he was talented, young & had drowned tragically in his 20’s & that his dad had died young & tragically as well. I never heard his music before. I felt like hearing this song & his version popped up. Now I see what the fuss is about. You can just tell when a musician knows what he is doing. Yes, he was the real deal!
You should also listen to grace it was the only album he dropped before he died it's incredible
♥️
Goosebumps...... yeah...... goosebumps.
Robert Plant has a killing timbre. Jeff Buckley is not in his league at all. overhyped. sorry.
I think he is but not on this track. Grace is an amazing album
Imagine having the voice of plant and the guitar abilities of page.
What? Where have I been ? Yeah ☮️💜🤘🎸
Such a good cover truly a great artist
holy fuck this is awesome
What a voice.... what a song..... an unbelievabke loss his death was. Irreplacable.
Cover is awesome! But I would like it better if Jeff weren't staring into my soul the entire time 😅
Robert Plant + Jimmy Page = Jeff Buckley😁
Respect
did he ever do cashmere? or battle for evermore?? that would be awesome!! cheers 🦧🍾🍾🍾🏳️🌈
THIS IS IT!
I'm sure it hasn't been lost on Jeff's major fans that he was as much a monster guitar player as he was a singer... what formidable talent that guy had, artists of this calibre are rare.
👍
Thanks ❤️
dear country; you may have stems here but you are not where it would be.
I never knew Buckley covered my all time favorite Zeppelin cover of this Memphis Minnie tune!
Beautiful gentle fragile genius.
First time I listen to this wow And I'm a huge Led Zep and Jeff Buckley fan He nailed it omg

His vibrato is what makes him great. No one can do it like him. The vocal fluctuations are unreal. The guitar work is epic as well. My uncle Gary Lucas played guitar on Jeff Buckley grace. Check my patented fretboard invention 🎸 Jeff does my FretCorner vibrato on hallelujah Chicago live solo
thats cool
YOUR UNCLE IS GARY LUCAS? im your biggest fan now
Jeff is the GOAT
Angels are dead while demon's never fucking die
PRAYING we get to see a proper bio movie before we all die...but unfortunately it seems 'mom' has totally given up on it so I guess we all have to wait for her to die, yay!!! haha.
I didn't know Jeff did this song - thanks for posting - will have to check out Rarities from NYC. Fantastic cover of a great song, by one of the greatest vocalists/musicians of our time.
Wow. Pretty interesting, though technically it’s a cover of Memphis Minnie’s song. Buckley sounds like a bona fide blues artist. Impressive.
Genius ignited
This song is difficult enough to cover, and he did it flawlessly while playing the guitar and slide.
Rest In Peace: Jeff Buckley
