1922 Ford Model T Ride
Jim T - Here's my last ride in the T with a few pointers and rambling thrown in. Sorry the audio is a little muffled. The camera is in a weatherproof case.

The only car that could keep someone from having road rage because they’re behind a car too slow.
The fact it still has wipers. It's an open car even with the top on lol
I have a touring car and with the top up in the rain it is pretty dry surprisingly. Like a big umbrella maybe? Originally they had side curtains too.
It's like if a tractor and an airplane had a baby.
all i could think watching this video was how much nicer your neighborhood is than mine ;)
Teacher: The questions in the exam were not that complicated The questions in the exam:
Strange car but its what we had to drive back then
This is amazing
very easy, thanks
I know this is an old video but wow, what a beautiful car.
Game gt4 apperance
Why the hell do you scream that poor engine so much in low??? I NEVER do what you're doing.
It can handle it
I wonder how well those things stop with only rear brakes and mechanical brakes
brettduffy19992 Always told not very well. And the rear brakes are originally made with iron pads....
@@19Robert98 the emergency brake is not very good but the service brake works relatively good. I have locked the wheels up in a quick stop with my 23
my 29 has all around mechanical brakes, it can stop quite well, even when going 50mph
How do you know how fast your going without a speedometer and how far you have on a tank of gas without a fuel gauge or an odometer I did hear those get over 20 miles per gallon but they're gravity-fed so I don't think that would work too well uphill
You just guess your speed. You check your gas before you leave and once in a while as your driving. They get around 20 mpg
@@19Robert98 there is a ford supplied Ruler you stick in tank to check level .. even checking oil is fun .. Google it on you tube We have 4 model Ts 7 Model As most been in family since New...
I only have one (23 2 door sedan) so i would definitely know nothing about either process of checking fuel level or oil quantity.
@@19Robert98 you have to know these things your kidding me?
Henry Ford was related to my uncle first wife and my cousins.
I miss that car every summer! Cheers to everyone who sees this video!
Maybe the coil is jumping across the air gap to the metal box cover when that death trap gets all warmed up.
luckily she found a good home on Florida where she should live another 90 years rust free! This video was for the new owner, so he had a little instruction on the basic driving operations. This thing is a time machine, if you ever have the chance to ride in one, take advantage of it and make sure you wave at any antique on the road! We love it!
2 speed autoamatic ?
Must be expensive
@@markusr7421 Liters*** and that junk measurement isn't used here. So, 15-20 MPG*******
@@allentoyokawa9068 I am from germany and in europe/rest of the world it is litres. Nothing else to say about it.
@@markusr7421 Liters** and not the whole world uses that crap.
Not incredibly expensive usually around 16k some less than a normal car these days
What is the maximum rpm on Model T engines? 2000rpm?
1600-1800
And that’s ‘the end of the world’ to quote Jay Leno.
0-10 in a day maybe 2
Henry Ford is smiling wherever he is.
in the ground in detroit
Wherever he is? Pretty sure he’s fucking dead.
in heaven or hell
Strange to think that anyone old enough to buy that car brand new is no longer around. Great video. I'd love to drive an old classic like that.
People are still alive ,what are you talking about?
John Texas And they are.The original commenter is pretty dumb if he/she really thinks that people who were old enough to buy a 1922 model T new are all dead. There's even one person still alive who was born in the 19th century.

Living over a hundred is being a freak?
Now I finally got the point, what the original comment means. He said, it is pretty strange, that no one who bought this car as brand new is living by now. Let's pretend one has to be at least 18 years of age by 1922; that is now 114 years old (being born 1904). So, he may be right - very strange, indeed - nothing wrong with this idea to me.
