Best advice I can give, coming from someone w/ 400+ hours into Elden Ring throughout multiple playthroughs using different builds, you can't be everything at once. It's give and take. That applies most to stat distribution. Vigor should always be prioritized so you aren't getting one shotted. By level 100 you want your vigor at 40-50 minimum. Outside of that choose 2 main stats you want to invest in, so figure out what kind weapons/spells/or incantations you want to use. If you want to do a spellsword build where you run a staff in your offhand and sword in main, Level Intelligence and Dex. If you want to wield a greatsword and use incantations, level Strength and Faith. If you want to be a blood/poison/rot build, level arcane and dex or arcane and strength (depending on what weapon you want to end up with. No matter what build you decide on, try to get your faith to 15-25 so you can use the flame grant me strength and/or golden vow damage buffs. I highly recommend doing a little research into different builds on youtube to get a general idea where you want to take your character. The good thing is, you can respec later once you beat Renalla, so you can play around with different builds. That being said, you CAN NOT be everything at once on your first couple playthroughs. Not until you're in the 450+ level range on NG+4. You'll end up being the jack of all trades master of none and find yourself not being able to use any of the good weapons, spells, and incantations due to not meeting stat requirements because you tried leveling into everything rather than min maxing.

I just bought the game yesterday. Will be nice to see how someone else approaches it compared to me. (Also my first souls game).
