I wonder if she bottle fed him. I worked with a Veterinarian who told me never raise an orphaned foal on a bottle, it would ruin them. They’d push you around and rear up on you. I have raised orphaned foals and taught them to drink from a bucket, they weren’t aggressive or pushy.

Go ahead and wave a blanket around a horse that’s scared of it and also already anxious. I’m not a trainer at all but I know animals and this horse needs medicine to calm her down and then work much slower. Don’t wave a damn blanket at horse. Your doing the same thing a bullfighter does to aggravate a bull so the same thing will happen with the horse. This horse needs to be walked daily when it tired and calm with one person so it can trust that person. This horse is filled with fear

They have to show that stallion whose boss, I broke stallions before, I had one that almost killed my wife there after I showed him that I was the boss, a few swipes across the nose, their weakest point and in less then a week That stallion was walking behind and trailing me like a small dog.

If you are going to have a stallion, educate him before having to resort to beatings, that was also your irresponsibility. And regarding the stallion in the video, he is a very insecure horse, so it is the trainer's fault for having put too much pressure on him and not paying him the necessary attention. At first the horse tries to attack him because the man makes a sudden movement with the whip, and uses it evil. Being an insecure horse, they did not have to proceed with the bag and try to desensitize him, they proceeded very quickly and did not respect their times.

What I see here is a human spoiling and enabling a foal to grow up to be a dangerous horse, and he IS dangerous! I get the feeling that she was owning 18 stallions was about her and her ego. Sad, she got this horse destroyed not having a clue how to raise and handle him.

Whenever a human screws up, an animal will be put down. They should just have allowed for him and a few mares to live some place. He was trying so hard to avoid the man but he kept coming. None is this is the stallions fault. Its ALL human error

This is why children should never be around colt foals they are not puppies & as they grow their hormones change, they get more muscular & stronger less tolerant & extremely dangerous. What was once a game is now a threat. Here in Australia it is illegal for any child under the age of 18 to go anywhere near a stallion from the day it's born they're just to unpredictable & not pets

I dont get why Buck was letting his guy do that type of work to the horse at this dangerous stage, he shouldn't have been trying to desensitise him with or put the saddle cloth on him, he needed to be doing things that didn't evolve such close contact, like driving and yielding, moving the feet and backing him out of your personal space.

WTF? Why is this man and not Buck Brannaman handling the stallion? I don't get it. This guy was fearful, he took steps backwards prior to the attack and he also was forcing the sack on him. Why? The horse is not ready to be sacked? The horse doesn't have any ground skills to start with. Why try high school work when the horse hasn't even been to school at all? This is so foolish and unintelligent of this man to enter the yard. This horse is for an expert only, like Buck Brannaman. This horse is a level 10 out of 10. I cannot believe what I'm seeing. Yes his owner wrecked him and destroyed his chance at life. The poor horse is the victim of his human. PERIOD. Don't have a stud if you are not an expert handler with years and years and years of experience under expert tuition to begin with. Shame on you lady and shame on you man for trying when you had no business to. Far out. Know your limits, know your level and don't go above it FOR THE SAKE OF HORSES, OUR FRIENDS.

I'm currently fostering an abuse case QH palo mare ex rodeo mount. To say she is a horse with people problems is putting it mildly. There are times she IS a bomb with a smoldering lit short fuse and after 13 months of love and trying to regain a trust bridge I've teased to the surface again the sweetness she hid down deep. There are times I want to weep because of what she has gone through. The trust Part is the hardest to get back.

I saw the full vid. The rest of this story was that when the stud's dam foaled him he was stillborn. This woman and her beau gave him CPR and succeeded. The dam refused to nurse him so they bottle fed him in their house. Problem #1: The foal was already brain damaged by the time he was discovered and CPR done to try and revive. Problem #2: The horse didn't know what he was. Problem #3: By the time his male hormones kicked in he was already a wreck and a ticking timebomb. Problem #4: Why this woman was collecting studs is a mystery. Buck alluded to this by commenting if she wanted to live dangerously become a SEAL Team member. Problem #4: With 17 stud horses their feed bill was astronomical and that was before the woman and her beau ate, paid the mortgage and utilities, etc.

I see that the hirsecwas dangerous but I also saw stupidity & callousness... you have a horse who obviously doesn't like humans then a human comes in flipping a blanket at him... duh! How would you like that done to you? Especially if you already didn't trust or like a person let alone them flipping a blanket at you? Bad handling in a sad situation if you ask me.

I had a stud the same turned out my best horse but wow these guys don’t know how to be boss as you cannot train a horse like that as has zero respect and thinks it’s alpha but after 2 weeks I’d have him as gentle as and responsive as a quiet trail riding nag and I’m never cruel but I’m dam stubborn and get results with my methods I just feel sorry for this lady who was forced to put this horse down shortly after this was filmed. In 17 years and 297 horses I’ve only shot one and she had a brain tumour nothing I could do for the darling she was going to kill her self and me. I gave up calming horses as the owners seemed to be the issue 90% of the time and would not listen and would not pay up so I let down a lot of horses and people now because of it. I own 7 studs and each has own personality but non would dare attack me like that and if they did it would be my fault not theirs as I’m the leader and to be challenged is because of something I have done incorrectly.

This woman has no idea what she is doing with this horse. It should have been gelded a LONG time ago, period. 18 stallions, no one on this planet needs to have 18 stallions unless one is a big time breeder and even that probably does not apply. That horse needs to be euthanized before it kills somebody, as it tried to do with the guy trainer.
