These guys make it look easy. It is brown water because of the ships, so you can't see how dry the reef is. It is very sharp. I had a friend in high school break his skull here, scar from ear to ear. (88')

Being able to takeoff on the white wash, fade, get your feet planted then stall and get shacked. Woo wee brother. I’ve been fortunate enough to be born and raised where we have a spot similar to your harbor. The only condition we have is the tide has to be a 6.5 or higher. If not you get rolled not only onto the cement blocks underneath but all the barnacles attached to them. Much Aloha from Ocean Beach San Diego

Good stuff! Surfed this spot a few times circa February 1990. One time I was paddling back out after a wave when everyone started paddling back in. Apparently there was a rather large Tiger Shark patrolling the lineup. Localism ;)
