I attended 1971-78. Lots of memories, friendships, hardships. Mr Roby, Doc Wilkinson, Mr Brooke's, Dennis Quinlan (woe!).

That brought back a flood of memories. I started 1971, my cap stolen on the first day. Mr Grindrod, Mrs Topping, Mr Willman, Mr Brookes, Doc Brazier. Quinny (Woe 88!), Johnny Askew. Mr Baldwin and his sax. Mr Pointer 'just a quick word about the Film Society ...' What characters.

That takes me back!! As a student in the 1960s I worked as a tram conductor in the Summer holiday of 1963, based at the Bispham Depot on Red Bank Road. This predominantly served the North Station - Fleetwood service, shown by the numeral "1" in the destination panel. My family had a hotel in Banks St., the first stop after leaving North Station and it was a not uncommon occurrence for visitors to get on at that stop and give me something my mother had cooked for my lunch or for me to ask visitors getting off to let my mother know when I would be off duty and home for tea!!

In the background @ 2' 34" is a lorry which took people out to the boat for a short trip. My Dad took us on a trip and I thought it was great.

And in a few years time they will be running back up to north station.

I find it hard to believe they chose to destroy the old school, only to replace with the green monstrosity.

What a pity I missed this event, the crap music does nothing to sum up the atmosphere of bullying, favouritism and education only for those who bowed to the rod. Fuck that place!

They replaced the old school with a fluorescent blot. Awful.
