Trades Galore & Football is Almost Here
Wished we still had Greg M and Jeff H. That was the best D we’ve ever had!!
that defense with Chase young, jeff okudah & company was about the only thing that could have slowed down Joe Burrow that year
Coach King comparing the Bears line to Colorado's O-Line? That hurt. Caused a shiver to run up and down my spine.
..why mispronounce his name?..doofus
haven’t quite figured it out if it’s on purpose or not? he does it a lot lol
Showing a graph where Purdue is an utterly wild outlier in FT disparity isn’t hitting like you think it does. Edey gets a plethora of calls to go his way whether Purdue wants to admit it or not. And the graph supports it.
We held him to 48 lmao
Ehhh that was a weak conter argument on the FT disparity. Fine take off the 10 FT that we're intentional and I don't give a shit about your graph when we're talking about 1 game. It was still a major disparity for that game lok
Zach Eddie. Dude can ball.😊
Thr foul thing os old, if you take your shots insdoe or by driving you will get more fouls called. If you take jumpers you will get less foul calls, this is basketball 101 and every fan should know it. Purdue goes into Edey or their other bigs almost every play at least once, and Jones and Smith drive into the lane a lot, they are going to get fouled. The other team when Edey is in will rarwly drive in or go to their bigs, settling for jumpers, and Edey doesnt try to play hard nosed def, just using his size and length to alter shots. The other team os going to get fouled less. Waiting for IU to ge up and running agian, my dad was always a huge fan of IM basketball teams, and his fav was IU, seeing the program like this is saddening. Glad he got to see them beat Purdue one last time last year.
1:08 That should have been a foul call against Northwestern. What the heck were the refs LOOKING AT?
Can't even pronounce the best player in college basketball name lol cmon man
at this point, i think he does it on purpose to annoy me (the purdue grad). Heck likes to troll without realizing he’s a troll, or maybe he does realize it. not sure
There's no doubt that Northwestern played the foul game to try to beat Purdue. It almost worked as the game could have gone either way but the Boilers prevailed. All good with all this analysis but let's also realize there's a difference when a team plays at home. You get more calls as Purdue did in Lafayette. I watched the Purdue game at Northwestern and thought more calls went against Purdue. No doubt teams try to stop Edey through fouling. Officiating sucks. Rarely are travels, double dribbles or 3 second calls made.
It’s pronounced Eeedeee you dunce He’s the NPOY and you’re a basketball guy and don’t know how to pronounce it?
10 of the FTs Purdue took were intentional fouls that WI committed to stop the clock plus the 4 that mason took because of the T on Collin’s be smarter…tired narrative
It was comical to listen to Chris Collins complain about he foul disparity in the Northwestern game. By the end of that game, both of Edey's arms were beet red from having gotten pounded on so much by Northwestern defenders.
Let's do some analysis 1) 46 free throws for Purdue--- lets take off 2 for the technical foul of the coach, and 2 more four fouling Gillis at the end which was a planned foul to stop the clock...42 2) Northwestern took 66 shots.... Purdue only took 57 shots....that nine shot difference... oh wait 3) Purdue was +9 on offensive rebounds (12 to3)--- and still shot less ?? what the F --- if everybody gets a shot a possession and offense rebound gets you 1 more shot--- its like Purdue only had 48 shots ( 57 minus 9 for their OR) 4) that might be the case if you have A LOT OF Turnovers--- wildcats 8 TOs , Purdue 10... so 2 more possessions for Northwestern on turn so that explains 2 more shots 5) 61 shots for northwestern and actually 48 shots for Purdue WHAT's the DIFFERENCE??.. Wildcats FOULDED Purdue before or WHEN Shooting ... ELSE THEY WOULD HAVE HAD A LOT MORE SHOTS--- 11 More (61, less 48, less the 2 TO differential).... shooting 50% they would have scored about 10 more points ---- which was just about the margin in the game Purdue had 15 PFs--- that is about their team average.... NW--- 30 fouls -- they fouled a lot more than their average--- that is on them Zac had 3 fouls--- Its tough to go back through the game ... but he was likely fouled 13 times --- for +10 differential just on Zac alone--
That's the kind of extended bullseye analysis I like to see I the comment section. Aces! 🚂 ☝ 🔨 👇
The free throw disparity should have been greater against Northwestern if they called every foul against Edey
Zach EEdee
I love when idiot callers get embarrassed with facts.
hey now he’s our friend, just a bit misinformed
@@INDCoachsCorner I get it but the whole narrative pushed about the free throw discrepancy is just lazy. I’m glad you guys got him squared away. Anyone that spent the time to watch the game would know the free throws could have been even further apart. I hate that people think they should equal out. Especially when you have two completely different styles of play. I appreciate that you provided facts and got him on the right track. Sorry about the “idiot” comment.
@@briansullivan519 nah you’re good! but you’re right. it’s a very lazy talking point from people that just look at box scores. a deeper dive into the stats tells you that the game went exactly how the stats said it would
46-8 shut the up Northwestern made it their goal to foul Purdue.
Someone find the Naughty Nine and the rest of the contributors to the SMU slush fund. Wonder how the Sherwood Blunts of the world feel about NIL.
Gotta love it when coaches work blue (cuss) 😎
Just talk about the 10 and 10 schedule in 98, Heck.
Glad to hear you’re over the vertigo!

Would Damon still have been Damon if he didn't play in southern Indiana? Lol Damon played in a conference with 2 other Mr. Basketball winners and McDonald's AA ( Pat Graham Sherron Wilkerson) although Wilkerson had his stripped. BNL played anyone who was good during those days.
good point! we all agreed that damon was so generational that it wouldn’t have mattered
I know. I just thought it was funny.
