I’ve been battling wild violets from my neighbors lawn which is entirely full of weeds. I just cannot get them to go away. I’m thinking of putting up wood fence just to stop the weeds because all my time and money into my lawn goes down the drain from my neighbor’s lack of care of their lawn.

If there’s no dirt mounds or raised ground areas it may be voles instead. I couldn’t tell much from the video…
Hey, Thanks for reaching out! In this case, and most cases we find in Louisville Ky, I see Mole Damage. This lawn showcased a few entrance points in various areas and tunnels slightly under the turf indicating more specific to moles. Voles have a tendency to tear a cavity/canyon throughout the turf. But, either way this customer did NOT need an application of anything, but rather needed a trap for the critter! -Parker-

I just did my fall overseed, and when I dug up a clump of bremuda grass, I saw a grub. Is now still a good time to treat for grubs?
Great question! If you are seeing grub damage to the actual turf, YES. A curative application should be applied. However, just Seeing a grub is very normal. And does not warrant an application. A Summer preventative is your first opportunity to help rid them from damaging turf. And or a curative if needed! Keep in mind In our area (Louisville ky) Bermuda grass is starting to check out with cooler temps!

So is a wild violet same as creeping charley or ground ivy? I found out a strong fertilizer can burn those out.
Great question, creeping Charlie and ground ivy are the same plant/weed. They are much easier to control than Violets. Fertilizer, having such a high salt index "COULD" burn many turf related plants. And that is why we watch our rates and timing of those applications. Post-emergent, Weed control applications are the only method of practice we use for broad leaf weeds.

Using a good grass mix saves you much problems. Barenbrug RPR for example, bullet proof for diseases. Grtz.
